AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 106.

But let us keep it positive, in knowing that my dear mother has lived to experience another Christmas.  Although, one of her grandson's and I spent some hours with her on Christmas Day, I am far from being convinced that she either tried to make it, or appreciated it as a blessing.  She did not find the meal I prepared for her to be nearly as scrumptious, as salivating as I had hoped it would have been.  I can partly understand some of her probable reason, and see them as justified.  However, I also wondered whether my dear mother had not set her mind, her spirit, against having as best a Christmas as she could, as opposed to the one she would prefer?  Because, when my dear mother sets her spirit against a thing or a person, however good or faultless that person or thing might be, at the time, she will find reasons to not enjoy them or its.  So, not only did she only ate very little of her special Christmas meal, but she also spent time recalling the several or many causes of her

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHICH 'FREEDOMS' ARE OF GREATER IMPORTANCE. PART 19.

Like every other living species, us humans are born into the world, not against our will.   But rather without having the choice of whether we should come forth from the darkness of the womb, or its equivalent, the egg, into the light.  Or to remain in the womb, which would mean certain death. Before we become enveloped and assimilated into the light, and acquire the age of reason, of logic.   And begin the sometimes agonising, sometimes fearful and traumatic contemplation.   Of what we might hope, is a distant and final time of retuning to the darkness.  This time to our destiny, our death, after having navigated the journey of fate, of life, be it a short or long one. Be it a partially or mostly happy or balanced one. This time, a death which, like being born, we also have no control over, although we might, if we are fortunate, have some influence over its method or means. Unlike some animals, such as birds and those which have habitats shared with predators.  Animals which are pre-

Over the following years, Kazaliwa and his parents would work together to help him find a less turbulent path along which to navigate his life.  Than the one which had cost him all those years he had spent being incarcerated.  Even though one of Kazaliwa most noticeable strengths, is the fact that he has never taken to bemoaning the time he has had to spend in prison.  His view or take on it is that it was a time when he lost most of his liberty or freedom, but that it was definitely not time wasted.  He had learned alot, about himself and the world, during the time he spent in what he has taken to refer to as "Jail."  Kazaliwa believes that he was fated to have taken the path which led him there, and that he could only have become the person, the man which he has now become, by having taken that path.  Along with all the detours and obstacles with which he had, and in some cases, is still being confronted with.  Neither has Kazaliwa shown any inclination to become ashamed

Because, although my dear mother continues to apparently ceaselessly bemoans her chronic ill health, it does appear that she could, indeed, nearly live forever.  After all, it really is the case that my dear mother has already, by several years, outlived my expectation of how long she could or would live for.  I can remember how over 10 years ago she underwent a major surgery in the country of her birth, and how I thought she might not survived it.  And though I am old enough and have sufficient knowledge and experience to know that a person's destiny does not have to wait for a specific age, by rather the conducive or unfortunate fateful circumstances, to remove us from amongst the living.  I now find myself pondering my own fate, pondering whether I might not depart the world before my dear mother. I do not know if such thoughts enters into the consciousness of my dear mother, as she seems too often preoccupied with her desire to be free of her numerous ailments.  To be free of p
