SUDAN'S FAILED COUP - THE HIGH RISK OF WANTING IT ALL, NOW! P. 2.

Image
They want it all, and they are demanding it, now. Not surprisingly, there are those within the military, and, indeed, the government, who have been stalling, resisting the attempted coup.  Playing for time, hoping that the tide will soon turn in their favour. That they will overcome the confusion, the trepidation that this uprising is evoking in them.   After all, of what use is a military force if it were to so easily and quickly 'give in to the demands' of any force, internal or external, that demand that it does so?  If it were to so so quickly allow itself to be robbed of power, however illegitimately might have been its acquisition? How could such a military be trusted to carry out its duty to protect the people and the nation and country?  Yes, the people might argue that it is the duty of the army, their army, to protect them, but from whom?  Their own government?  And on what basis should the military turn against the government? Is there a

JUST A THOUGHT - ON, IF GOD EXISTS, THEN WHY DOES GOD NOT SPEAK TO US DIRECTLY??

And I acknowledge your pain, and will now bring an end to it. By stopping this famine, this drought, this flood, and this war.'  Never has anything like this ever, or, indeed, probably will ever happen. Why, therefore, should anybody believe that there is a sentient God, when just saying there is and there has to be, is no longer a sufficient and logical reason for believing that there is?  When the fear of your fellow humans torturing and killing people for attesting to the fact of such a God not existing. Is no longer the norm in Christendom? When we hear the clergies of all 'god-based' religions matter-of-factly spouting their meaningless and baselsss platitudes about god this and god that.  And even more despairingly, that other apparently logical humans should be believing what they are saying, and commit their lives to practising it.  Oftentimes to the detriment of them living peacefully and enjoying their lives more than they are doing.

JUST A THOUGHT - ON, IF GOD EXISTS, THEN WHY...? P. 3.

Image
Of all human endeavours, the 'religion/god industry' is probably our most destructive, because of the degree of its deception, and its repression of our human potential to become more unashamedly masters of our fate!  Instead of wasting our lives with our preoccupation with a non-existent god.  But none of this seems to cause the believers, the Christians, any puzzlement; any public distress or caution.  The absence of tangible and objective evidence of their God, is just something to be overlooked.  Something which is not acknowledged, as their religion and belief in God is all about making assumptions which are beyond proof.  Which defies all observable and scientific evidence to the contrary of what they are professing.  When God fails to act in the direct and compassionate manner in which us humans would expect of a benign God.  We are then told that 'God acts in mysterious - and, is seems, always indirect - ways.' Why, we are even to

SUDAN'S FAILED COUP - THE HIGH RISK OF WANTING IT ALL, NOW! P. 1.

For those ardent advocates of 'western democracy', equating the opportunistic elites who have been attempting to use 'the people.'  To force out the current elite military rulers of Sudan, with a gang holding innocent people as hostages in their demands for whatever they desire, might sound a bit harsh. And yet, I think that there is more validity in drawing such a comparison, than many of the supporters of this 'people's revolution', would want to admit to.  I means, in the proverbial 'nutshell', that is what the elitists 'wannabee leaders' of 'Sudan's people's Revolution' - which is a very questionable description, even though it is one which the Western media and 'western democracy advocates' love to make - are attempting to achieve.  The ad hoc reluctant and not so reluctant leadership of the ad hoc alliance of opposition forces.   Are using 'the people', as represented by t

JUST CONTEMPLATING - ON THE PERSISTENT COURAGE OF THE UNSIGHTED. P. 1.

The things which greatly impact the lives of us humans, negatively, are things which we must either adjust to, along with the impact their are having on us.   Or we must find workable solutions to the dilemmas they present us with. One of the most or one of the most fundamental ad detrimental thing I, as a sighted person, can think of.   Is that of a person, including me, losing our sight.  I only have to consider the occasions, seemingly too many already, when I feel a very uncomfortable sense of anxiety about the night.  The absence of the Sun God throwing It's enervating lighted rays on the Earth and all that dwell upon it.  Leaving it bathed in panic-inducing darkness. When not even the blinding glow of artificial lighting, is sufficient to remove that acute feeling of dread.   Which can arises from the perception of having to endure 'the darkness' until I am again blessed with the light of day, with daylight and the presence of The Sun God. AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 37.

Most recently, probably partly because of physiological and psychological deterioration.  My dear mother has become more prone to having falls. and falls. Which might have played an undetermined role in her having now lost all or most of the vision in one of her eyes.  This, of course, means that she is having to make a somewhat major readjustment in how she functions.  Such as having to rotate her head more, when she is looking at things on 'her blind side', as it were.  She must also remember that she has to use her sighted eye to see what if any obstacles are on 'her blind side', so as to minimise the risk of walking into them.  This situation also means that her dependency on others to assist her with with some of her personal care tasks has now increased.  As is the scope for her level of dissatisfaction with and complaints about their performance in doing things for her.  And somewhere in all of this, I find myself in somewhat of

BRITAIN'S BREXIT - AN OPPORTUNITY TO END OR CONTINUE TO SERVE THE CURSED AND POISONED CHALICE!

Image
Yes, to become the third Prime Minister to become afflicted with the 'curse of Brexit.'  Why, you might ask, are so many apparently intelligent British politicians thinking that they would be able to drink of the poison of Brexit, and not succumb to its deleterious potency?  Why do they imagine that, unlike David Cameron and Theresa May, the will be immune to this disease that has been driving the British politicians and ordinary people crazy?  What is there plan; how do they propose to pursue Brexit, while balancing the desires and wills of the divided people of the United Kingdom? What claims do they have that they are capable of being better politicians, national and international leaders, and negotiators than the devoted and passionate Theresa May?  That they can rise even closer to the Sun than she did, without, like Icarus, become incinerated? Very little, I should think, as none of the leadership contenders have had any previous example ha

MONACO GRAND PRIX 2019 - ANOTHER P.1 AND P.2 FOR TEAM MERCEDES, BUT...!

And then again, having to listen to Lewis' whinging, is probably not too high a price to pay.   For having him and Team Mercedes overcoming the challenges of an unyielding Verstappen and Team Red Bull, tyre degradation, and a Siren-like circuit, to extract a another Grand Prix win.  such a win Monaco 2019 was not a brilliant or exciting Grand Prix, even if Hamilton and Team Mercedes did their best, in conjunction with how fate impacted on the race, to give it a helping hand.  It was all about gruelling endurance. But its outcome has now enabled Hamilton to increase his Championship lead over his teammate, Bottas, to 17 points.   As well as diminishing the potency of the challenge from Team Ferrari and Red Bull.  The race has also seen the continuing frustration of Charles Leclerc's attempts to realise his potential as one of the new drivers on the Grid.  Now, we must await the unfolding of the Canadian Grand Prix on the weekend of 7-9th June.   To see

'Power can, indeed, drives people crazy, but so, also, can the quest for power causes them to make promises they should have known they would not have been able to keep.' And, will this yet to be declared Sir Galahad.  prove himself any more capable or any better than the now former Prime Minister Theresa May?  Of delivering 'the golden fleece'?  Yes, I am not being 'sexist' in appearing to be ruling out the option of the next British Prime Minister being another Boudica.  It is certainly a possibility, but I would be most surprised if another woman put herself forward to tortured in the manner which has been the experience of Prime Minister May. Is it to be another 'Brexeteer Prime Minister'? Probably Boris Johnson?  The uncertainty and trepidation which is confronting the British people and the citizens of the European Union, is not to be underestimated.  Indeed, it is difficult to overestimate the political, social and economic

How do you keep your sanity, your concentration, your sense of differential from the spinning environment which is beckoning you to 'let go of your perspective and merge into into it, to become one in the resultant 'big bang'? This challenge would probably have been felt most acutely by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.   As the former, apparently frustratedly, and annoyingly, fought with his despair over his relentlessly degrading tires and feared diminishing hope of taking Car 44 to the Checkered Flag.  While still keeping the braying, threatening and even more frustrated Max Verstappen behind him, as he does so.  I said 'annoying', because that was how I felt about Hamilton's stating of the obvious. Him berating Team Mercedes for not having put him on the Hard tyres which his challengers had on.  Instead of digging deep, emotionally, to replicate the strong practical application which he was displaying in, despite his verbalisa
