To the extent that it does not pose any perceived or actual threat to the West, or to Israel, and/or the West's vassals in the region.  They, in effect, want to ensure that Iran and the Iranians are not able to protect itself from any internal and/or external attacks.  That is should have neither a 'defensive or an offensive capability.' Probably the United Kingdom, then, might be able take the leading role in mustering an appropriate and effective counter-attack to Trump's declaration of war on Europe?  Well, that might be difficult. Considering that Britain's Prime Minister May, and her Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, are currently at actual, if undeclared war with each other over agree the terms for Brexit.  Not only that, but both Theresa May and Johnson are in economic and military pact with Saudi Arabia.   Which supports Trump's declaration of war against Iran, and would not want to appear to 'offend' Saudi Arabia.

Yes, what can we expect of Israel now, since it is clear that it will not abide with, as its politicians and military keep repeating, Iranian military assets being in Syria, within striking distance of its territory?  Should we now expect that the Israeli Offensive Forces will invade Syria to set up, as Turkey has done in Efrin, cordon sanitaire?  That it will expand its borders with Syria, and extends its occupation of Syrian territories?  And, if it does so, would that not bring it into closer proximity with Iran.   And thereby strengthens it already disingenuous argument that it needs to have Iran and the Iranians stripped of their means of defence, and bounded hands and feet, to preserve its security?  Albeit, this time, over what would then become a defacto 'Greater Israel', 'cleansed' of its occupied Arab populations? This, it seems to me, could be the eventual outcome of Israel's geographically expansionist role in the Middle East. 

It is so very unfair, when nations make tokenistic military gestures, in futile attempts to prove this or that point.   Only to bring the wrath of the nation against whom the gesture was aimed, against the innocent people of the nation making the gesture. Might this be the case with the reports of Iranian forces having fired missiles or rockets into the Occupied Golan Heights of Syria?  Which has resulted in Israel making a somewhat sustained and massive attack on both Syrian and Iranian targets - both people and materials - in Syria? There is, in my view, no point in nations attempting to make costly and inevitably self-destructive gestures, in pursuing their disagreements or conflicts with other nations.  If you do not have the capacity to take on your perceived or actual opponent.  Then, do not take action which is going to provoke that State to take retaliatory action against you, at great cost to your own people and armed forces.  It is cynical and callous to &#
