JUST A THOUGHT - ON BRITAIN'S STREET VIOLENCE AND 'STOP AND SEARCH.' THE END!

Commit themselves to working together to do so. With and without the state forces of 'law and order', who, as time passes and technology advances, become more coercive and authoritarian. This challenge has to be met, irrespective of their ethnic, cultural, religious and other affiliations.  Failure to achieve this, could see more and bigger 'favelasised' enclaves in our societies, from which there is unlikely to be no humane recovery.  Since it appears that 'more and better government', has not only become incompatible with each other, but is reaching its evolutionary peak.  With the solution lying partly in the ordinary citizens, motivated by the common aspiration for a better and honest living.   Becoming more likely to find themselves squeezed between the forces of the State and 'organised criminal communities', with both at times working together.  It might be the case that there are more honest citizens, and that the

This is a short video of a young cat trying to learn how to hunt birds, but, sofar, not having or appearing likely to succeed in catching any of the feathered prey. Please take a look and see if this video can assist your day's contemplation on the intricacies of how life and living differentially impacts us and other creatures.

In which the rights and freedoms of the individual, are promoted, and are not crushed by the imperative of the collective. Consequently, 'the community,' where it actually exists, and is manifested in its historically 'tribalistic, religious and rural traditionalistic image.'   Does not sit comfortably with the possession and responsible exercise of individual autonomy, by each citizen, which is required by the enlightened civic society.  The appeal to the authorities 'the community', in western societies, for it to ' exercise effective control ' over its members.  Is an ambivalent legitimisation of the 'social control power' of 'the community.'  Even though the exercise of that power, can also conflict with the individual rights which the 'civic societies' in Europe hold in high regards.  'This appeal' is not one which is made to the white European citizens, and is therefore questionable, having

But, the use of 'morality' as an argument to invade another country and make war against them, can be very questionable.  It can lead into uncomfortable territory, full of dilemmas. Not least because, there are those amongst us who would argue that war is 'immoral.'   And that, if that is so, how, then, can those who would use 'morality' as a 'justification' for making war, avoid or answer the charge, the accusation, if you like.  That they are being hypocritical and 'wrong', in resorting to 'immoral' means to achieve or try to achieve 'a moral outcome'?  That, it seems to me, would require those who resort to such a mean, to seek refuge in arguments about 'greater good', 'lesser evil', 'least detrimental outcomes', 'means of last resort', etc. After all, why should one kind of weapon be deemed 'immoral' or 'unacceptable', as opposed to another?  Why should the use o

CHINA GRAND PRIX - I AM BACK WITH WITH SPEED, SAID DANIEL RICCIARDO! THE END!

And in all of that, such was Red Bull's pace over Mercedes, that Max was able to overtake Hamilton no less than 3 times during the race Mercedes had the consolation of Valtteri Bottas holding on to his P.2 position, but only just.   As the Red Bulls just could not stop themselves from floating over the circuit.  As if they were literally absorbing all the energy flowing around it.   And using it to glide around the track as if they were running on some unseen rails, and being pulled toward the end of the race by an unseen golden pulley. Lewis Hamilton was, fortuitously, able to complete the race at the same position he started it at; P.4.  Thanks to Max's penalty, although, without the intervention of the Safety Car, he might have done better, or, considering Red Bulls' pace, even worse.  It is not for us to second guess the gods, as we cannot know what might have been had things transpired differently, since. We can only know what has happened.

Is it the case that, because of its very limited and carefully controlled impact, it does not really have to stringently 'meet any legal criteria'?  That might be an argument for 'mitigation' in meting out any 'punishment' to the 'Three Musketeers,', although it could be seen as evidence of 'conspiracy' or careful planning, as well. So, with their being no clear legal basis for carrying out the attack, and with it not being a precedent.   Since that had already been set through the machiavellianistic manipulation of the UN in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq over 15 years ago.  Might it be the case that there is a 'moral justification' for the attack on Syria?  But how do we, or should we define what is 'moral' and what is 'immoral.'  Since the presumption, or premise, must be that the Syrian are doing or about to do something which is, by definition and comparison, 'immoral.'   And that

A Huge Congratulations to Daniel Ricciardo and his Red Bull Team, for having ridden the Shanghai Circuit to victory in the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday! A Big Congratulations also, to Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen, for coming in at P.2 and P.3, respectively.  Having had a miserable and wholly disappointing early exit from the Bahrain Grand Prix.   It was probably only fitting that Red Bull should have gotten themselves sorted and provided Ricciardo and Max Verstappen with cars worthy of, not only winning, but winning the CGP in unassailable style.  Of course Max only came in at P.4, in the race, but that was not because he did not have a car which could have brought him in at P.1 or P.2.  No, it was because our intrepid racer still has those racing moments where he just finds it too difficult to balance the need for caution with the call of speed.  When he is given to only or mostly hearing the little voice telling him, 'faster, Max, faster, if

A sensible and practical balance has to be drawn between the need to facilitate appropriate exercising of  'stop and search.'  Against the danger of inappropriate 'stop and search' operations leading to causing avoidable distress to citizens who are subjected to them, and in possible avoidable civil disorder. That requires having an appropriate 'stop and search policy and practice', which has adequate input from ordinary and influential citizens from all sectors of the population.  In other words, the 'stop and search policy' needs to be able to 'be owned by the citizens' and subject to review by them. And what of 'the community', of which we expect so much of? What is it, 'the community', and does it really exist, or is it no more than a social construct without any definable form or cohesive organisation?  If 'the community' does not really exist, then how can it really play a positive and reco

I am feeling a sense of relief that the Three Aggressors did not chose, as they could have done, to go about causing great blood letting and destruction in Syria and on the Syrian people.  For that, we can be thankful to the 'wiser counsels' in their decision making process, whose call for caution has clearly prevailed.  Although I still believe that Britain's Prime Minister May, and France's President Macron, are culpable for having carried out an illegal attack against Syria and the Syrian people.  It might well be the case that the world might owe them some grudging debt of gratitude.   For having been in the process and being successful in avoiding what could have been a disastrous and detrimental outcome.  Had it been left up to the Americans on their own. So, with the West feeling that the Syrian government had again slapped it on the cheeks, and feeling 'honour-bound' to extract 'justice' or 'satisfaction' for the al
