PORTUGUESE GRAND PRIX - HAMILTON AND TEAM MERCEDES WORKED HARD TO MAKE ANOTHER WIN LOOK EASY!!! PART 2

Image
The Grand Prix was very enjoyable, not least for the unexpected events.  Such as Bottas having overtaken his colleague, Hamilton, at the start of the race, and Carlos Sainz having overtaken both of them and Max Verstappen as well.  Even if, as was to be expected in this case, they would later put Sainz back into his place, as it were. But probably most enjoyable of the race, but that it provided the now legendary Lewis Hamilton with the format to become the most successful F.1 Grand Prix racer sofar.  The great racer was not to be denied the win which saw him exceeding the feat of the still legendary Michael Schumacher.  This is something he is fated to achieve, so fate was not going to deny him what the gods have decreed he should do in his life time. And so was hitory made, and we now look to the Italian Grand Prix this weekend. Respect to all the intrepid racers who participated in this challenge race.

A Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton on the latter setting a record breaking 92 Grand Prix wins, by winning the 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix.  A Very Big Congratulation also to Valtteri Bottas for making it to P.2, and to Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull for revving up another P.3. So masterful and sublime a racer has Hamilton The Consistent becomes now, that winning grand prix have become habitual.  And, although, as he has said during his media interview, he works hard and approach each grand prix as if it was his first.  Hamilton The Racer has now developed the appearance of making winning look easy and relatively assured.  The man has, it seems to me, taken on the appearance of having become or becoming a superb grand prix racer.  A racer par excellence. A Racing Demi-god, if not yet God. To be continued!

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHICH 'FREEDOMS' ARE OF GREATER IMPORTANCE. PART 4.

If it is the case that, a person is living in a largely practicing mono-religious society.  Then there is unlikely to be any issue about the majority of those citizens being able to exercise their right to practice their religion.  There might be, however, hindrance and obstacles in the way of those citizens belonging to 'minority religions' practising them.  But less so for the majority. We can see this playing out in a number of western countries at present.  With some Muslims perceiving the fact that Westerners can openly mock their prophets and Allah.   Without the state coming in to prevent them from doing so, as almost anathema. Some Muslims, individually and collectively, find this to be abhorrent. To be blasphemous and, they claim, a blatant expression of  Islamophobia . To be continued!

And so must a decision be made as to which merit and/or should be given priority, when those seeking them are in competition with one another? Now, of course many or most of us would like to be able to exercise as many of our 'rights' as possible. Having our cakes and being able to eat them, as it were.  And that should be understandable, as it is a human condition.  After all, why have a cake at all, if we are only able to look at it, analyse it and not be able to eat it? That, however, is not going to happen; we cannot have all our rights being satisfied at the same time.  Neither can we all exercise them at the same time, when they would conflict with other people's rights. This is why we must prioritise what is more or most important to us, and prioritise and compromise on them.  I do not think that any of our 'rights' are absolute or sacred. Let us, for example, take the 'right' of the individual or people to be able to exercise their rights to practi

It is not dishonour being out paced by the great man, racer that Hamilton is.  As he made this Qualifying his 97th Grand Prix Pole. A Very Big Congratulation to Team Red Bull and Max Verstappen, also, for making it to P.3.  The indubitable Max Verstappen has, once again, laid down his maker at the third member of what is developing into  The Dominant HamBotVer Trio.  Like a team, they might not always come home in the same order. But they can oftentimes be found amongst the first 3 drivers comprising the Qualifying, and/or crossing the Finishing line in the Grand Prix. But let me not get carried away; today's event was only the Qualifying stage.  The actual race is tomorrow, Sunday, when everything is up for grabs, as it were.  The Portuguese Circuit is a tough and challenging one which will be all the more difficult as all the cars will be on the track racing one another.  Bottas is a racer who will, understandably, feel that he still have to prove that he can beat his team mate
