  So, what is my take on this issue; that people, including children, should be artificially kept alive, if their parents and/or family insists that this should be done?  This being a very topical issue in Britain at present, following the most recent case which have been exhaustively done the rounds.  With the child's parents refusing to accept the conclusion of the medical professionals, the their son has, unfortunately, died.   And that it was in the child's best interest that his ventilator, the machine which was doing his breathing for him, should be switched off.  As, the medical professionals argued, by way of my summation, he would not regain the state of autonomous living again. Yes, from a personal perspective, we, or most of us can appreciate how difficult it is for us humans to 'accept' death.  Especially the untimely demise of young children, even though the people of some cultures might handle the associated grief better than some western or European cultu

  Nuclear war is now more likely to occur than it was in the 1960s, even without the 'Cuban Nuclear Weapons Crisis.' How is this likely? This comment is in response to an article written by The Guardian's Columnist, Simon Tisdall, entitled Nuclear apocalypse was postponed in 1968. Now it’s back on the agenda The problem is partly that the world's leaders need to come together and review and amend the rules.  The problem is also partly about the two-headed Demon: Religion and 'Western Democracy.'  We can see evidence of the latter in Pelosi's crass 'I don't give a damn' attitude in precipitating the current crisis over Taiwan.  We can also see that part of the problem is Putin's shocking and brutal reaction to Nato's expansion into eastern Europe. Yes, there is no doubt that in this and/or not distant generations, the world is fated to experience the destructive  force of nuclear and climate wars.  There is a greater need for world leaders
