Probably the worst thing anybody can do for anybody, or a people, is to tell them that their fate is in the hands of others.  That they/we cannot do more to gain control over their/our fate. That racism and poverty are holding them/us back. And then to perpetuate those explanation for their disadvantage. This is not what should be being preached to the black and minority ethnic populations of our neighbourhoods, our villages, our towns and our cities.  The message should be one of self-empowerment, of empowering people.  By telling our fellow citizens, of whatever ethnicity, religious persuasion and cultural affiliations, that your/our fate lies in our own hands and intellect.   And our ability and capacity to engage with and cooperate with others to achieve desirable changes.  We need to 'disown' and hold to account people who commit serious crimes and hold them to account, appropriately for their ages, and irrespective of their ethni

But the biggest threat to Venezuela has always been the threat which Nicolas Maduro's reckless and incompetent leadership places the country in.  He is the biggest threat to the country's independence and prosperity, and the sooner he removes himself and his government from their position, the better it will be for Venezuela's long march towards its recover. The best way of pulling back Venezuela from the cliff face where Maduro has taken it.   Is for him to relinquish power to the Armed forces, or for them to remove him and his government and set up and participate in an interim government of national unity.  Charged with the task of working with international bodies such as the Unite Nations, in preparing for free and fair national elections by 2020.  This, it seems to me, is the best and most impartial way of resolving the impasse.  Juan Guaido does not have the legitimacy to assume power.  And Nicolas Maduro has patently demonstrate his fail

So, how do I know what is this other person's perception of what is and what is not?  She tells me of a thing which besets her. Not once, not twice, but many times. So, it is not only in Maduro's re-election that questionable things will have been done, but also in Trump's election as President.  So, from whatever point of view it is looked at, America's stance in recognising Juan Guaido as President or interim President of Venezuela.  And inciting the people of that country to rise up against their or the government. Partly so as to provide the Americans with the pretext to invade. Is both unprecedented and extremely dangerous. Some would say, against international law.  Even if the next development could be that of the Americans and the anti-Maduro alliance going to the United Nations. To try to manipulate it into giving their illegal act some kind of pseudo-legal clothing. And who do the people of Venezuela have to curse for getting them into this greater mess and volatility?  Yes, none other than Nicolas Maduro, whose incompetent and destructive leadership of the country and crocodile-like grip on power. 

'One of the greatest and most disastrous threat a nation can face, is when its leader and his regime, egotistically perceives his self-interest and apparent well-being as those the people, of the nation.' Such has been the recklessness of President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, which has now led to the Venezuelan opposition leader, Juan Gauido declaring himself the leader of Venezuela.  And to the President of the United States, and, apparently, Canada and Brazil, recognising Gauido's de facto coup, by stating that he recognises him as Venezuela's President.  Yes, it seems to make no sense at all and to be most undeplomatic, that President Donald Trump should be setting the dangerous precedent.  Of recognising Gauido as Interim President, when he had not been elected or declared to be such by the relevant legal and constitutional organs of Venezuela.  But here we have it, with President Trump also threatening  Venezuela with military action.  If

When we cite the absence of job opportunities for young people, and how that might have influenced some young people and men into pursuing a criminal lifestyle.  We also need to pose the question of how well or how badly have some of these young people done, educationally, and what they are taking to job market.  In other words, even if there were more job opportunities, would they have been able to compete for them?  Would they have the motivation? Yes, we need to be mindful of the fact that, there are some people who would be only too willing to use these deficiencies and shortages within the system, as 'excuses for their criminality.'  Too eager to continue to avoid taking responsibility for their own shortcomings, the own lack of self-and other respect, and injurious behavior.  And blame it all on others. On the Police, the law, racism, lack of employment and society. And not asking themselves what good have they done for others.
