South Africa and its people, or, rather, a large proportion of them, are having a tough time. Something which is not made any less untenable by President Jacob Zuma's corrupt and authoritarian rule of the country, and the adverse impact it is having on the country's financial, economic and political standing. For the elites, President Zuma's saving grave is also what is his vice for the majority of South Africans; his corrupt nature. Him wanting it all, not for the common people, as it were, but for himself. President Zuma is motivated by his own self-interest, his desire to achieve great wealth, which he has now acquired, but which might be, figuratively, forced down his stomach.
