  Music can and does performs the role of being an accompaniment to many of the activities us humans perform in our daily lives.  Like a chosen wife for the appropriate menu, the right music can help to put us in the 'right mood' for love, for war, for contemplation, for feelings of pain or grief, for working fast or slow, and so on. Music can act like a drug on us.
