Consider this.  That the President of the United States of America could be elected for a second's.  Would that not be a nightmarish scenario?  Yes, I am aware that it is possible, inasmuch as it is said that all things are possible, but certainly not all things are likely or probable.  And many would hope dearly, that it is unlikely that Donald Trump will indeed get a second bite of the most esteemed of American apples; a second term in the White House.  So, imagine my level of discomfiture, when I heard a journalist commenting on how the departure of Steve Bannon from the White House could result in Donald Trump's campaign for a second term could be compromised.  Yes, there we go again, with having to accept that it is possible that Donald Trump could be a bigger masochist than he is a sadist, and elect to run for a second term.  After all, is that not the pattern of most of America's presidents, that they tend to run for a second term? Millions of people are, to different degrees, empathising and morning with the grief-stricken victims of the terrorist outrages in the Spanish province of Barcelona.  It is likely to be the intention of the so-called 'Islamic State' to make the people of the world - especially in Europe and America - fearful and afraid. Very afraid.  But this is an objective which it cannot achieve. Its terrorist outrages will make people more vigilant, and add to its own destruction.  It will lead to more in-fighting in the leadership and ranks of a despicable organisation, and its ultimate destruction. The madness, callousness and unmitigated evil of IS cannot prevail for much longer, as its atrocities are bringing together people of all ethnic, religious and political backgrounds to form an alliance to defeat it. Being Indian, probably only comes second place to many, if not most Indians, when it comes to their religion.  Consider the 'Cow protectors', who have declared their willingness to kill other Indians, in their  effort to protect the 'so-called sacred cow?  Such is the utter madness to which religious extremism can drive people!  How can these Hindu extremists be so callous as to place the lives of cows above that of humans?  This is the same false logic, the putting of religious doctrine and customs above the lives of other who do not belong to their 'god and religious beliefs'. Which is placing India at risk of what has been euphimistically called 'mob violence', but is actually acts of mindless terrorism. Yes, hold onto your beliefs and let no person deflect you from doing so, without it being for a reasonable cause and to you to your gain. However, do not become complacent in your belief, your beliefs. Be prudent and constantly interrogate them. Check their fitness for purpose. Consider what purpose they were and are now serving. Are they yours, or somebody's else? Do they still apply now, as they did when they were originally devised? Should you be seeing them in a new light; the light shown by new information and knowledge which has been accumulated since the birth of your beliefs? It is fine to have scruples, to have the proverbial decent principles and values.  To declare that one is against doing evil, taking another person's life, or, indeed, taking any life, knowingly. I have recently had the privilege and pleasure of watching several of the 'Primrose Panglea videos.  The same being a reflective recall of the fascinating journey and experiences of Jas and his now wife and their family.  A journey and experiences which this young and very resourceful couple have had to live due to them being of the same human race, but of different ethnicity and traditions.  Jas being of Sigh origin, and Primrose being of black African Zimbabwean origin.
