BRITAIN'S LABOUR PARTY'S NATIONALISATION AND WORKER' SHARE PARTICIPATION PROPOSALS. PART. 2.

Image
I am not convinced by the argument that workers really merit being made shareholders in their employing companies.   Simply on the basis of them contributing the physical labour and intellectual skills they do, to produce the tangible and service products they make or provide. Why? Well, because, yes, the providers of labour and intellectual skills, and those who provide capital. Whether they are the entrepreneurs and/or shareholders, are all essential for the successful operation of the company. Each of them, separately and all of them collectively, have their roles to play, and should be rewarded fairly for the value of their contribution. If venture capital, independent shareholders and the owners of labour and intellectual skills and expertise make and contractual agreement to go into business together.  With them according corresponding value to the productive forces they are contributing, and agreeing how and what level of reward they are entitled to, and what lia

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHAT MIGHT BE THE 'TRUE ESSENCE' OF US HUMANS. PART 1.

Image
So, what is it, or what are the things which constitute the core essence of us humans?  No, not just that we have life and, at least, for a period of time, are alive and might be able to live our lives abundantly, or in varying degrees of desperation or despair. What is our true essence; is it our 'soul', or our 'personality'? When we think  of someone, be it someone dear to us,  or a stranger whom we have met or heard of.  How do we think of them, feel about them? What are the senses which come into play as we contemplate or reflect on a member of our family? A colleague at work or a neighbour?  What are the transferences which take place in our thoughts and cogitations?  If I can define, cogitate my 'core', my 'essence', then I could probably make some assumption about what, if anything, constitutes the core or essence of us humans, in general. It seems to me that we could conclude that what is at my 'core', m

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON THE PREVALENCE AND TRANSFERABILITY OF A STATE OF 'OTHERNESS' ! THE END...

To those who once knew of it. Yet, this estrangement, this feeling of 'internal and external alienation' from ones previous sense of identification with ones 'home'.   Can occur whether or not the 'new comers', 'the others', are differentiated by their ethnic, linguistic or cultural attributed. Because this is also a part of how us humans and our habitat, our environments are changed and transformed over decades, centuries and millenniums.  It is about the continuing evolution of our species. It is about our impermanence, our temporary status as tenants of time and space.  As just one of the objects which nature, evolution, as the ultimate but insentient painter, architect and builder, use to fashion what is and what is to follow. The attempts by individuals, group of individuals, nations and group of nations, or parts thereof, to stop it, are doomed to failure.  Because the life span of our human species is infi

SEX AND ITS VARIOUS AND CONFLICTING ROLES IN SOCIETY. PART 5.

To becoming more of 'an art form', with both the male and the female taking time wooing each other.  To establish some intellectual, 'spiritual' and emotional intercourse with each other.   To know each other, intellectually and emotionally, and to identify commonalities and complementary attributes they have, before 'falling in love with one another.'  Of their own 'free will', before embarking on 'having sex.' Consensual sex, in which both parties are intended to enjoy the process and pleasure outcome.  And not just the woman of the species being by the male, to fulfil his desire. But before this stage of enlightenment could be reached, humans, like other primates, now had to place greater emphasis on the male seducing his female mate or partner.  Whether they were in societies in which a 'man's status and ability' to 'provide for his wife and family' was of great importance.  Or in a society in whic

SEX AND ITS VARIOUS AND CONFLICTING ROLES IN SOCIETY. PART 6.

No longer is there the expectation that their parents will become 'match makers' and find them marriage partner so that they can get married and have a family.  Not with the increasing dissolution of practice of marriage being seen as a pre-condition to having children, and therefore making 'having sex' a necessity. In order for there to be seduction, there has to be the opportunity for people of different gender and sexuality to meet, spend time together and get to know one another.  There has to be some room for people to 'flirt', 'make passes at each other.' There has to be a common language between them, which promotes and stimulate friendship.  'The proverbial language of love.' Of which music, dancing, watching the movies, speak loudly. In other words, there has to be a certain amount of 'political incorrectness' to promote seduction and 'mate-finding' in modern societies.  A certain amount of

We can understand the perspective of the individual fearing the coming of 'the other' and how they will impact their lives. Economically, socially, culturally and politically.  But this is how it has always been within the evolution of the species. This is why we have to also take a societal and a global perspective as well.  A perspective which is not just limited to satisfying the personal preferences of those who would proclaim '.....land for the ...'   And put up a 'No Entry' sign to those who, for various reasons, feel the pressure to leave their countries and regions of the world, to try their luck in places where they are unwelcome. There is the need for human species to survive, something which it, we are better, if not only able to achieve, through the mixing of human geno-pool.  And not by this and that ethnic and 'racial' group or branch, remaining isolated and bringing about its own evolutionary demise. JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON MATTERS OF THE GODS AND HUMANS: HOW ACCOUNTABLE SHOULD RELIGIONS AND GODS BE MADE FOR THEIR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANS? PART.6.

Image
So, when are these religions going to apologise and ask for forgiveness for their crimes?  When are they going to be brought to account and be required to, first, desist from perpetrating their heinous deceptions on humans.  And, secondly, to make amends for the crimes of their faiths? In the same way as they have spoken of the sins of the fathers being visited upon their children.  Should not these religions be required to take responsibility for the evil they say their gods have empowered them to commit?  We know that God or the gods cannot take responsibility and make good the evil their disciples and followers have perpetrated.  Because they do not have any power, except that which is invested in their churches, mosques, temples and shrines.  Which leaders the clergies and followers of the different faiths to account for the crimes and injustices which have been done by and/or in their names.  But, unfortunately, we do not see any of them demonstrati
