IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 43.

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' Kazaliwa's parents, having been endowed with both the aspiration and provided with the opportunity to progress into higher education and pursue professional.  Have had professional experience of how primary societal organs, including criminal justice and the prison system, impact adversely on the particular sections of the nation's population.  But they did not want to have to experience the prision system from this close, this personal a level.  Never mind, fate is a no respecter of persons, and it was now, though not to the heightened level of their son,  Kazaliwa, their fate to become a part of the concentric rings which surround the citiz

Which is why they have taken to calling her "Mama." Yes, how nice it would be, if only my dear mother were to become more aware of and acknowledge the love and the devotion of her careworkers to her?  I mean, with care workers and healthcare professionals being at the forefront of the campaign against covid-19, putting their lives and that of their families at risk by continuing to care for the vulnerable members of society.  How greatly indebted we who are dependent on them for the welfare of our elderly family membes are to them? Greatly indebted we are, indeed. Sadly, however, my dear mother either does not appear to realise this fact, or, if she does, she fails to sufficiently keeps it at the forefront of her memory recall.  She will persist in citing seemingly conspiratorial accounts of what careworker A or B has done that they should not have done.  Things which, it seems to me, are little, even petty things which, unless one is driven by a m

'If 'God' has never spoken to you, and does so in a manner which was evidenced by other people, then you should really ask yourself, 'why has he never done so'?' Surely, it cannot be that we are not capable, considering that all us humans have done and achieved,  in the name of and/or on behalf of 'God' or the gods.   We have done it on our own, with our own hands, feet, bodies and intellect?  Never once has 'God' or any of the non-human entities we have designated as gods, of their own accord or volition, have ever lifted a stone or a pane of these beautiful ornate glass panels.   To build and adorn any of the magnificent churches, cathedrals, chapels, mosques, or temples which us humans have built to honour them and pray to them.  Does this not, at least, makes us the equivalent of the gods or 'God?'  Of course it does, judged against any reasonable and just standard. And so it seems to me, that us humans have earne

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' That was now their major concern. Not so much that of how they could, would be able to hide the event of his imprisonment from the neighbours, their friends and work colleagues.  Or how they would manage to cope with their 'shame' for so many years.  Kazaliwa's long sentence might, unbeknown to his family, be the beginning of his long journey back from the valley of despair and deprivation.   But now, that was not evidently so to his parents, and it was probably not evident to him either.  Yes, they could go to sleep in their beds now knowing that they are free of the anxieties they had when they hear any sirens blaring, as they have come

JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DOMINANCE OF THE TRUMPIANS. PART 5.

Well, yes, they are. After all, it is quite clear that Donald Trump and his supporters did not carry out an illegal coup against the American governmental system.  In order for Trump to become President of the United States of America.  That, however, does not mean that he and his supporters did everything by the book, as it were.  As can be inferred from the allegation of Russian involvement in the Presidential campaign. Him becoming a candidate and campaigning for the Presidency, was, of course, the latest part of what was a long running process.  Even though the announcement of his candidacy was met with shock and even derision.  It might have come as a shock to even the other inhabitants of the 'House of the Republicons', including incumbent Senators and Members of the House of Representatives.  But then, most, if not all of these Republicons, like their Democrat colleagues, own the tenure of their office, not so much to the people who elected

The anxieties of when the police would next be calling at their home to convey some terrible news about their son to them, or to search for him for some offence he was suspected of having committed.  No, no longer would they be the helpless 'victims' of such uncertainties.  Because they now know that Kazaliwa would be securely residing in one of His Majesty's prisons.  The name of which they would be given before they leave the Court, and which they would be able to visit after he has completed his induction period of time.  That, indeed, might have been the conclusion Kazaliwa's parents and brother came to.   Had it not been that wh

'No  thinking person should ever take the existence of 'God' as self-evident, as to do so is to help reinforce the factualisation of religious myths which have no factual foundation.' By probably most of humanity throughout the current Islamic and Judeo-Christian  period? I mean, on the face of it, observed through our reasoning, our logic prism  We really should not have any difficult accepting the argument that 'God' either never existed or is now dead.  And that, based on that irrefutable fact, we are now freed of any obligation or duty to served such a 'God.'  Now, if we are able to free ourselves from this erroneous belief and tyranny which has enslaved us to 'the will of a non-existent 'God.''  Could we not see the value of having spiritually enlightening 'religions' which are founded in service to us humans, and not to any fictitious 'gods' or 'God.' Is it really beyond our int

She complains, but not with the same strong and unyielding tone. I sense that she is now more malleable. Of course, pleasing as this apparently new phase in my dear mother's journey through life, which also impacts my own life's journey, is.  What would be even more pleasing and satisfying, would be to hear my dear mother signing the praises of her stalwart and loyal careworkers.  Primarily these two women who have been working with or for her for the past several years.  Two women who, although they have, in some respects, been brought up and inhabiting very different worlds from that of my dear mother and I.  Have come to love her and respect her, and who, though they might, like most people, not always do everything perfect and to the very high, if not improbable expectations of my dear mother.  Have consistently expressed their love and devotion to serving her. As if, as they have consistently commented, she was their own mother. As if she is a
