IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 68.

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' While his parents and, when he joined them, brother, returning to their lives of greater freedom.  Of light, which concealed the darkness within their souls, if you like.  And now, after what at first was a seemingly lifetime of enforced separation, this was to be a much happier embrace. It was not an embrace denoting separation, but an embrace of welcoming home of the prodigal son.  With an unspoken acknowledgement that a very unhappy phase in their, the family's life, has now ended.  Now was to be the start of not entirely a new beginning, since that is now possible.  But the beginning of a new phase or stage in Kazaliwa's life. In their, the family's life.  Th

Probably taking itself too seriously, Islam does not want to be criticised, or be made fun of.  It does not want to be held up in front of the mirror of objective analysis, and is reluctant to submit to either self-analysis or by analysis by others.  Especially those whom it considers to be 'unbelievers.' Which is why it finds itself having to contend with the challenges it finds in the western world.  Challenges which are not unique to Islam, as Christianity also had to be confronted with similar challenges.  In order to stop it continuing to suffocate and destroy the human rights of Europeans and others whose lives it was blighting.  Islam, like other prosetlysing religions, will have destroyed the non-Islamic beliefs and customs of the ancestors of most of today's Muslims.  In order to convert them into becoming Muslims.  To be continued!

That the would have been able to go on and on and accumulated even more championships than the eventually did.  Because, winning, it appeared, though seemingly hard and out of the reach of their competitors, was easy for them. And then came along Team Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton to sculpt the the winning formula that would break the Sebastian Vettel/Team Red Bull spell and establish an even more successful epoch. And it is this unique formula, aligned with favourable forces, which has led to Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes.   Producing the performance which gave Hamilton his 7th (Seventh) World Driver's Championship by winning the 2020 Turkish Formula 1 Grand Prix. Though Hamilton and Bottas and Team Mercedes have struggled during the monsoon-like Practice and Qualifying sessions.  With Hamilton and Bottas not having been able to progress beyond 6th and 9th places during Qualifying.  To be continued!

TURKISH GRAND PRIX - TEAM MERCEDES AND HAMILTON CANNOT HELP MAKING WINNING LOOK EASY!!! PART 1.

On this momentous occasion of Lewis Hamilton, powered by Team Mercedes having achieved his record breaking 7th Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship. Some reflection is called for. People who are good at doing what they do at times cannot help projecting the resonance of making it look easy.  Even when it is not as easy as it might appear to those of us who are not initiated into the art of their craft, as they are.  And such is the case of Team Mercedes and the sofar inimitable Lewis Hamilton.  Those of us who are somewhat of an avid fan of Formula 1.  Will probably still remember the halcyon days, years that Sebastian Vettel and Team Red Bull had, in what now seems like the distant past.  Years when winning championship after championship seemed to come easily for them.  So much so that they accumulated no less than 4 Driver's Championships.  A period or epoch which saw Vettel's index finger became somewhat of a famous trademark.   As a result of the number of times he

Islam probably suffers from the same kind of  'exceptionalism'  complex that I see Judaism as having evolved for itself.  Like Judaism, Islam has laid claim or wants to lay claim to  being God's favourite religion, and to be being his chosen people.  The orthodox Jews nob their heads towards their holy wall, and Muslims walk around the Kaaba and prostrate themselves in submission to Allah.  And, just as how the stereotypical Jewish people do or might see themselves as a race apart, a distinct ethnic group.   So has Islam evolved and develop in a way which seeks to set it apart from all other religions.  It is not only a way of life or living, but it sees itself as a distinct people.  Except that, here again, it cannot really compare with Jewish people, who are largely, mostly have a common ancestry.  Whereas Islam has only been able to boost its numbers by conquering and converting other nations and peoples into becoming Muslims.   'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' This day of deliverance was her. No sooner than they finished embracing each other, Kazaliwa and Mfanyazaki made their way into the family's home.  By now Nzuli had made her way into the corridor.  Where she and her son proceeded to embrace each other, and exhaled their years of pent up tensions in a matter of a few seconds, minutes. Like the embrace between father and son before, Nzuli's and Kazaliwa's embrace was special and poignant.  The last time they had embraced was at the end of Nzuli's and Mfanyazaki's last visit prison visit to see Kazaliwa.  And, like all such visits, their meeting was filled with that sense of their happiness of living in the

And that, while Islam remains in its original form, it will continue to pose that threat of forceful adherence and conversion.  It will pose the risk of threatening and denying the exercise of basic human rights. To those who fall under its remit. In this context, allowing Islam to be practised in western societies, in a way which is inconsistent with secularism and the freedom of speech.   Could, if not would present a serious and increasing thereat to human rights.  Just as how the practice of Islam in many predominantly Muslim countries, will have negatively impacted the lives of the people and their human rights. Calling this 'Islamophobia' might not be entirely inaccurate.  But neither would it be unwarranted or unjustified. Like its brother religion, Judaism, with both having emanated from the 'House of Abraham', if you will.  To be continued!

POLITICIANS ARE NOT GODS, SO DO WE NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH OF THEM? PART 5.

Other politicians and governments, particularly those at the centre and centre-left.  Tend to focus more on improving the lives and livelihoods of the people.  On jobs, education, healthcare, infrastructure, such as roads, utilities, etc. Although no government, irrespective of its tendency or position on the political spectrum, is likely to completely pursue only the goals representing its core values.  Its popularity will be influenced, if not determined by the extent to which is is pursuing the policies that sections of the electorate consider to be most important to them, personally, and to the nation as a whole.  The weight that the different sections of the electorate will place on the different policies will be influenced or determined by their current or expected socio-economic status.  For example, the unemployed will be more interested in promise of policies aimed at creating more jobs, and on reducing the competition for jobs. Such as restricting immigration.  The poor wil
