IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 67.

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.

And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.'

This day of deliverance was her. No sooner than they finished embracing each other, Kazaliwa and Mfanyazaki made their way into the family's home.

By now Nzuli had made her way into the corridor.

Where she and her son proceeded to embrace each other, and exhaled their years of pent up tensions in a matter of a few seconds, minutes.

Like the embrace between father and son before, Nzuli's and Kazaliwa's embrace was special and poignant.

The last time they had embraced was at the end of Nzuli's and Mfanyazaki's last visit prison visit to see Kazaliwa.

And, like all such visits, their meeting was filled with that sense of their happiness of living in the now.

By focussing on the visit and trying not to allow the underlying bed of sadness, on which that now laid, to bubble its way up and spoil the event.

Similarly, after all of these visits, they would embraced, before embarking on their separate ways.

With Kazaliwa returning to his restricted life under confinement.  An imagined place of darkness, if you like.

To be continued!
