Of note is the fact that hundreds of thousands of young and old Iranians, but probably especially the young ones, had fought valiantly and died tragically in the murderous Iran-Iraq War, in order to defend their country.  The combatant survivors will now be in their 50s and 60s, and be receiving their pensions or approaching pensionable age.  Pensions which the country needs to increase its wealth, through its development, in order to pay.  But their is also other 'victims' of that tragic war. And to take their deserved place in their region and the world, is to re-elect Hassan Rouhani as their President. On Friday 19th May 2017, the people of Iran have the privilege of going to the polls to vote on who should be there next President.  With the two main choices being that of opting for continuity and stability, and voting for the current incumbent, President Hassan Rouhani.   Or choosing the way of a new and unknown and untried path, and voting for Candidate Ebrahim Raisa, of the Combatant Clergy Association.
