A CONVERSATION WITH GOD. PART 17.

For thousands of years, humans, first the priests, shaman, and the clergy, and then the ordinary people, have sought to speak with the gods, and then for the gods. 

Always being secure in the knowledge that the gods would not denounce what they have reported of these conversations. So, why have the gods remained silent? Why have the gods chosen not to speak for themselves?

T.: It really is astounding that it should be so, G. One might have expected it to be so prior to 'the age of reason', before the 'age of enlightenment, but hardly in the 21st Century. 

When what has been previously thought of as 'acts of diving miracles', have been shown not to have been the case. 

When religions, placed under the scrutiny of critical examination, which is not blighted with fear of punishment from the gods, have been shown to have nothing 'divine' about them

And why do you think that, even in today's apparent age of reason, when there is so much could disprove your existence, G. 

Including the fact that you continue to remain in the shadows of the minds of the Believers.  

Apparently still 'all seeing', 'all knowing' and 'all powerful', but still demonstrating a powerful global detachment from the increasing misery of humans, that people still believe in you, G?

Why is that, G? Why is it that, somewhat like the intense tendency of a neglected child to 'please' his/her neglectful parents, the believers.  

In their desperation and their denial of your of your powerlessness, of your non-existence, still turn to you? 

G.: You know, T. I have often wondered and pondered about that as well. 

They say I am all seeing. Meaning that I am capable of seeing all things, even that which they are not able to see. 

That I can see their thoughts, even before they give expression to the,, by words and deeds. 

But to them, I continue to remain unseen. They have sought to 'rationalise' my unseenness by proclaiming that nobody can see me and live.
