The wheels of justice in the British criminal justice system will more than likely be the wheels of injustice for black defendants.  Having recently watched a trial in which an all white jury convicted a black defendant, apparently solely on the account of the complainant, and the fanciful and farcical summing up of the white prosecutor, who seemed to have a prejudicial view of black people, I am led to ask several questions of the implementation of British law.  Particularly in light of the fact that the British criminal justice system is known to dispense harsher pseudo justice when black defendants have the misfortune of having to submit themselves to it. So, English law, namely that of the United Kingdom, includes a requirement that, where a jury trial is to take place, a defendant should be tried by 12 of his/her peers. Meaning that 12 'ordinary members of the public', who are selected randomly, should sit and hear the evidence proffered by the prosecution

Many people will remember the old phrase, 'better Red than dead.' During the period of the decades between the 1950-1990s, Russia and China were the two countries that provided liberation movements in many countries, including African ones, with arms and other necessary support, in their struggles to liberate themselves from their colonial masters. In many cases, these colonial masters would have been British and French, aided and abetted by the Americans, or, especially in the case of the Americas, local dictators who were running their countries in accordance with the world view of the Americans. Big Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg and their Mercedes Team for having secured P1 and P2 positions at the end of the Mexican Grand Prix. By winning this race, Lewis and his team have continued to demonstrate the consistency in their performance which they need to achieve, if Lewis and his team are to place themselves in the position they need to be in, should Nico Rosberg falters, and provide them with the opportunity to benefit from such a misfortune. With ~Nico being 19 probably unassailable points ahead of Lewis, and there being only another two races to go, if all things were to remain equal, it is clear that, with this big advantage, Rosberg has a date with being crowned the 2016 Formula 1 World Champion. So, without any intention to 'test fate', as it were, in respect of Nico, it really is the case that, for Lewis to remain in contention, it is incumbent on him and his team to win the next 2 grand prix, and for Rosberg, for whatever reason/s,

So, how much more important is it that we should not use our bodies for food and drinks 'storage and disposal', without the care and attention required to protect it from harm? Harm from what we put into it and when we put it into the temple of our bodies? There is this saying, which many people will be aware of, that 'what you put in is what you get' out. Yes, it is the case that we can put rubbish, certain rubbish, into the necessary container and process it, and get beneficial manure out of it, which we can then use productively in the cultivation of our crops. However, for the purpose of this post, I am really arguing that, if we eat and put 'rubbish foods and drinks' into our bodies, they could result in the 'rubbishing' of our bodies, by making us ill and unfit. As I listened to the service, I was reminded of a seminal conversation I had with a then elderly Jewish shop-keeper, several decades ago. This conversation was probably a consequence of my longstanding interest in politics and religion, amongst other things. Prior to having the conversation, I had been, it would subsequently appear, under the misapprehension that all people had their origins in the one or other members of the 12 tribes of Israel. A Big Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes Team for having won Pole position at the Qualifying for the Mexico Grand Prix due to take place this Sunday.  Congratulations to Nico Rosberg as well, for having delivered P2 position in the Qualifying, after having struggled and looking as if he would not get closer than P3 or further back, until the very last lap in Qualifying. As usual, I do keep my eyes and ears acutely focused on Nico and Lewis to see how they interact with each other before, during and after their race. On this qualifying occasion, I am pleased to note that both drivers are continuing to interacted appropriately and impeccably toward each, with both of them speaking with and not at each other. Nico and Lewis capped it by shaking hands after qualifying, and speaking amiable about each other during the post-Qualifying press conference.
