A THOUGHT FOR NOW - LIVING HEALTHILY IS MORE EASILY ACHIEVED WHEN IT BECOMES A FAMILY'S WAY OF LIFE! THE END.





So, how much more important is it that we should not use our bodies for food and drinks 'storage and disposal', without the care and attention required to protect it from harm? Harm from what we put into it and when we put it into the temple of our bodies?

There is this saying, which many people will be aware of, that 'what you put in is what you get' out. Yes, it is the case that we can put rubbish, certain rubbish, into the necessary container and process it, and get beneficial manure out of it, which we can then use productively in the cultivation of our crops. However, for the purpose of this post, I am really arguing that, if we eat and put 'rubbish foods and drinks' into our bodies, they could result in the 'rubbishing' of our bodies, by making us ill and unfit.

In order to achieve - because we have to work at it - and maintain healthy bodies and minds, we have to be discriminating about the kinds and amounts of foods and drinks we consume, and the life-styles we live.  By now, probably all literate person on the earth should be aware that sugar and salt are addictive, and that, in order to avoid suffering from the the chronic health problems which they can give rise to - such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity - we need to be vigilant and circumspect about the amount of salt and sugar we consume.



It is the misfortune of some of us that our way of life and culture has cursed us with a tendency to over-indulge in salty and sugary foods. Thus people from the West Indies, Asian and Indian Sub-continent, might have a higher risk of consuming too much sugar, because of the importance of the sugar ingredient in their foods and drinks. It would appear that, as far as the processing of consume foods are concerned, the basic principle is this
: 'if it taste vile, add some more salt and/or sugar of sugar alternative to it.'

Thus is the need for healthy eating to become a way of life, with children not being exposed at home to consuming vast quantities of sugar and salt, which they continue to do when they begin to access the fast food establishments. It really is the case that the food industry has placed parents and families at a disadvantages, since it ensure that, the consumer has little or no good choices when it comes to buying foods with low sugar and salt contents. Often times the scope for a reduction in the consumption of harmful food and drinks additives, is to consume less of the products.



So, keep being vigilant about the integrity of the foods and drinks you consume, remembering that probably most of them have been contaminated in either their production and/or their processing, and that the consumer cannot afford to rely on the government to protect them from unhealthy foods and drinks.

In endeavouring to maintain healthy and happy living, develop and maintain healthy eating, drinking, and a exercise regime, for both your body and your cognitive functioning.
