RELIGIOUS DILEMMAS - DREAMING OF OR IMAGINING A WORLD WITHOUT THEISTIC RELIGIONS! PART 4.

'We owe nothing to 'God', for which we should remain loyal to our religions which want to keep us in the darkness and ignorance of the past. Neither can we become free, when we remain enslaved to our religious inheritance.' This is the logical and reasonable conclusion we should be drawing from a calm and collected reappraisal of our evolution - not creation - and the several thousand years of history of 'modern humans.'  But despite the paradox, I can understand how it might be seen, as also ' logical'  that some of us continue to believe in a sentient 'God.'  Even though the concept or idea can be perceived as being very illogical.  It is logical to  believe  in 'God', but only in the context of the thousands of years of religious indoctrination of humans.  And not in the context of this  belief    being able to withstand the test of empirical and scientific investigation and testing. Using the same kind of reas

Like the tide coming in and going out, the weight of these objects, and, in the case of a political party forming a government, the strength of the supporting electorate, and/or the regime's ruling elites ability to manipulate the electorate.  Will, at different times, determine the tendency of the dominant party/ies forming the current ruling administration. So, in short, it is not surprising that, probably prior to Donald Trump's unexpected and, consequently, shocking election as the President of the United States.   The periodic changing of the guard between the ruling 'trinity' of, the 'leftists, the centralists, and the rightists guards.'   Of the political establishments of the 'liberal democracies' in Europe, the US and the Americas, has been a normal and predictable occurrence.  It has become an expected cyclical event, with the dis-empowered regime returning to the backbenches to fight a rear-guard action against the in-c

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' Indeed, whether it might have been more or less, had he not already damaged the health of his veins from his drug addiction, can only be a matter of conjecture.  But his reaction when Judge Glenn pronounced his sentence would suggest that Kazaliwa, although his sentence would be seen by his family and others as being very severe, he was expecting it to have been much worse.  So much worse that Kazaliwa's reaction to being given a 10 year sentence, followed by an Extended Sentence of 5 years, was to punch the air in a sign of 'triumph.'  He had been expecting to be given an Indeterminate Sentence which could have kept him incarcerated for

Even though the cultural, social, economic and political conditions of each society.  Will influence or determined the means and processes employed by the 'strong leader' and his/her supporters or conspirators. It is of the nature of the 'liberal-democratic' nation states, that their internal' party political affairs and the ideological leanings of their governments, like the tide of the ocean, tends to swings one way and then the other.  For however long it remains in its current swung position, it, as if being pulled by gravity, will swing back at some point.  Like the force of gravity acting on a ball or balloon casts up into the atmosphere, political power, it seems, is fated to be in almost constant motion.   With its rise and fall or to and fro motion being subjected to the relative balance  or strength of the forces keeping the balloon or ball in the air.   To be continued!

After all, he had pleaded guilty of those offences, through deliberations between the defence and the prosecution, and later, between the parties and the Judge.  There was, however, scope for the severity of the sentence he was given to become contaminated by the smell of racism.  The racism which runs through the veins and arteries of the judiciary, and the society and politics which inform the making of the laws which would be used to determine Kazaliwa's sentence. As Kazaliwa sat in the holding room of the court, accompanied by a prison officer.  Only him could know of the level, probably a toxic amount, anxiety that was coursing through his v

'It is said that there is nothing new under the Sun, which is probably partially true.  But more likely in the sense that, although we can 'create news things.   They are really the result of compounds or mixtures made up of basic ingredients, and the impact of their cumulative interaction. This, I think, is as true for both things and people.' Take, for example, the current dominance of the politics of expediency of the 'Trumpians.'  The expedient politics of President Donald Trump, of Jair Bolsonaro, of Brazil, of Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines, of Viktor Orban of Hungary.  There really is not much, if anything that is new about it. At its core, is the principle of having 'a strong and usually brutal leader', who, by whatever means necessary.   Forcefully reforming  and making the current system work efficiently and effective to deliver his vision of what society should become, or attempting to create a new system to do it

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' Just as how a defendant might pronounce in court, 'I do not recognise this court.'  So does the British judiciary declares, both by outcomes of its deliberations and its pronouncements, that 'this judiciary does not accept that it is institutionally racist, and denies that it is. It is, of course, not unique in this phenomenon, which tends to be a societal feature of probably all or most of the predominantly white-anglo-saxon populated countries.  If Mzaliwa had 'a chip on his shoulder about racism', it was unfortunate that the learned Judge Glenn also had one on his shoulder, about being called, explicitly or by possible inferenc

'If you or we can believe in a God whom we cannot see, hear, feel or smell.  Then why do you or us choose to disbelieve the evidence of our own eyes,  our ears and the wisdom of our intellect, which all attest to the non-existence of 'God,' except as a figment of our imagination?' People, especially the gullible and trusting among us, need to be reassured that, there is no '? God' who is going to punish us for what you have done or not done in our life.  You need to stop worrying agonising about being rewarded or punished by 'God.'  The only punishment or reward we are going to be subjected to in this or any other world, is that which we have meted out to ourselves, or which has been dealt to us by other humans. The evolutionary forces which has accounted for the cosmos and the existence of life, including that of us humans, are too massive to have been designed, set in motion and controlled by 'God.'  Which is why the
