AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 96.

And how it is better for us to first doubt and hold ourselves responsible, before we venture to suspect and accuse other. But for now, I am hoping that my dear mother has turned a corner, as it were, and that these series of incidents, me finding things she has lost, misplaced, and blamed her carer for, will at least lessen her tendency to do so.  Even for a reasonable period of time. One thing is now certain; namely that I have the credibility to say to my dear mother, when she complains of her things being taken.  I can say, Mama, do you remember when you could not find your this and that, and you said it was taken by ...., and then I found it for you? Ah, but it does not work quite like that, as I have since found out. Why?  Because, for it to work that way, it would require the person to of sound mind, at the time, it would appear.  Which might explain why my dear mother still has a predilection to still get confused to the point of thinking nothing of believing that her carer en

However, there are times when it is not only down to what happens on the circuit or track that determines which driver and team wins a race, even barring the unmistakeable intervention of the gods. And so it was in this case, that, although Hamilton would have probably definitely witn the Russian Grand Prix. He could not have done so, on this occasion, with the damaging impact of a F1A imposed penalty of two 5 seconds stops. For infringement of track rules during practicing. And so it was that, Lewis Hamilton did not lost the Russian Grand Prix on the track or circuit, and neither did he lost it during the race. He lost it off the track and during the Practice session. That is why he was equivocal about predicting his race outcome, after Qualifying. And it is also why, understandably, he was a bit disgruntled during and after the race and, momentarily allowed his emotions to prevail. By appearing infer that FIA officials wanted to impede his record-breaking progression. This, however,

Another strong and successful finish for Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull, with a P.2 finish at the end of the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Sochia Circuit on Sunday 27th September 2020.  A Big Congratulation to Max and Team RB for maintaining, even building on your competitiveness. And a Big Congratulation to Valtteri Bottas, and Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, for making it a P.1 and P.3, respectively.  Yes, it was not quite the race that Hamilton and Team Mercedes would have been anticipationg, considering that Hamilton made it to Pole on Saturday.  No, probably most people would have been anticipating a another grand prix win for Hamilton, making it the race that would have seen him equal Schumacher's tally of Grand Prix wins.  But, alas, it was not to be, and, as I had acknowledged in my last post on this Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was somewhat concerned about how Sunday's race would have played out.   That might have seemed over-cautions to some people, and unde

But which, as has tended to be her first reaction in times of stress, to hold someone else responsible.  So, as she explain how and when this money went 'missing', I calmly explained to that the money was in her apartment.  That she has just mislaid it; put it somewhere else than where she thought she had put it, and that nobody had taken it. Forget about it for now, mother, I advised her.  Tomorrow you have another look. I could detect a bit of disbelief in my dear mother's response, but I reiterate the need for her to follow my advise.  And so it transpired that, as I was speaking to my dear mother today, I deliberately chose not to ask her about the misplaced money.  However, just as I finished and was getting ready to say goodbye to her, I was rewarded with my dear mother informing me that the money matter has been resolved.  She informed me that she found it in another pocket than that she had been looking in. Bravo mama; I am pleased that you have found it.  I did n

And have us humans made the 'God/s' redundant. As having no more relevance in our lives that that which our ancestors and us have given him/them.  Even though there has never been any indication that they, 'God/s', have accepted the role and functions our ancestors have given them. An ancient anachronism which continued to exist and even thrive in our modern and enlightened age.  Mainly because it has become, as it were, an essential part of our traditions, our cultures. Traditions and cultures which each generation has been socialised into and even forced to maintain.  Even though it is crucial for the advancement of our societies, probably even the survival of our species.   That we allow them, our traditions and cultures, to evolve, to be transformed into something more present and future-embracing.   If we are to realise our ever expanding potential as sentiment humans. This is not to say stories, because that is what they are, about the God/s should not have any

Yes, it was more of a drama than might have been anticipated, in Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes making it to Pole and P.3 during Saturday's Qualifying sessions at the Socchi Circuit in Russia.  What with Hamilton having had his lap scrubbed out after making a mistake in the closing sessions of Q.2.    Which resulted in a track infringement, and with Sebastian Vettel's misfortune in having an accident robbing all the drivers and teams of vital minutes during  the session.  And so it was that all eyes and ears which were focused on the Qualifying Sessions, were stilled, startled and waiting with baited breathe, as it were, to find out if Hamilton would make to to Q.3.  Well, as all interested persons will know by now, yes, after all the high anxiety, Lewis Hamilton duly make it to Pole on Saturday.  With the Indubitable Max Verstappen having snatched from Valtteri Bottas, the P.2 position he had earlier laid down. And so it was that Hamilton has now placed himself into probab

'Holding onto the promise of theistic religions and God.   Is like a drowning man clinging to the root of an unstable tree, as it is eroded by the torrent of a river, and ignoring the hand of the passing boatman.' Religions and the worship of 'God' have become 'solutions' to a problem which no longer exist.  This is because us humans do not need an omnipotent and omniscient 'God/s' to protect us from the known and unknown dangers and threats anymore. Evolutionary, scientifically and technologically, we are now grown ups.  We are not able to change or master our common destiny.  But we can influence our fate much more than our ancestors had been able to do.  We now know that in as much as the threats and dangers which confront us are 'solvable.' They are the ones which we pose to ourselves.  They are the ones which we can, if we are agreed and committed, solve for ourselves. Because many, if not most of them are our own making. We know that ther
