RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX - NOT ALL PLAING RACING FOR TEAM MERCEDES, WITH A P.1 AND P.3 FINISH. PART 1.

Another strong and successful finish for Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull, with a P.2 finish at the end of the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Sochia Circuit on Sunday 27th September 2020.

A Big Congratulation to Max and Team RB for maintaining, even building on your competitiveness.

And a Big Congratulation to Valtteri Bottas, and Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, for making it a P.1 and P.3, respectively.

Yes, it was not quite the race that Hamilton and Team Mercedes would have been anticipationg, considering that Hamilton made it to Pole on Saturday.

No, probably most people would have been anticipating a another grand prix win for Hamilton, making it the race that would have seen him equal Schumacher's tally of Grand Prix wins.

But, alas, it was not to be, and, as I had acknowledged in my last post on this Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was somewhat concerned about how Sunday's race would have played out.

That might have seemed over-cautions to some people, and understandably so.

As there was nothing that occurred on the track during the Practice and Qualifying sessions.

Which could have suggested that Hamilton did not and would not have had all that was required to add the Russian Grand Prix to his tally.

To be continued!
