The Chinese, like the Russians, are perceived with fear by the elite guardians of the West, of Western European Judeo-Christian civilisation, and are demonised accordingly.  The guardians of the West perceive and characterise them not only as a political and religious threat, but also as an economic threat.  In their struggle to defeat this perceived threat, the guardians of the West, consistently try to debase the Russians and the Chinese by depicting them as inferior to the West, in their socio-political and social systems.  Making them out to be the enemies of 'human rights', of 'political rights and freedoms.' Always looking out for their flaws, which they then magnify under the microscope of the media.  Paying less attention to their successes, and to balancing their analyses of their societies. There is a view that people like things to be straightforward and uncomplicated.  To be in 'black and white', or either, as it were. Or to be consistent with the consumeristic and populist propaganda of the West's political elites, reducible to 'good and evil.' However, life and living, reality, if you wish, is not that simple. There are times in the life of a nation, when its rulers, its government, might be only too happy to allow the electorate to take the responsibility, the blame, for things going catastrophically wrong.  This is more likely to occur in countries that rely on the people, through what has become known as the 'democratic process of free and fair elections.'   To make snap decisions on which political party/ies should form their government, or to use referendums, to make major decisions.  Such as Britain deciding to leave the European Union. If the people make the 'wrong decision' in electing the wrong political party to form the government.   Then, in a 'democracy', they can probably undo the decision, although not necessarily the consequences of their decision, by voting them out at the next election.  But what happens when the electorate got it wrong, as they are believed to have done in the Brexit referendum?  How are they going to get the oppor

It is time for the Palestinians to 'retooled', re-equipped themselves with new mindsets, strategies and tactics. Which are more suited to help them to realise their dream of having an independent. sovereign, and economically viable Palestinian State. Until such changes take place and begin to bear fruits, the Palestinians will probably continue to be either ignored and disrespected.  Even if not as blatantly as the current President of 'Free World', is disrespecting and treating them with great affrontry, in support of his Israeli friends.  Of course the Palestinians are right in forming the view that America really has no place in negotiating a peaceful and just settlement between the Palestinians and the Israelis?  How could it be otherwise, after a struggle which has gone on for more than 70 years, and is now bogged down in inertia?  If the United States has any role to play, then, it is that of playing less of an unconditional supporter of Israel.
