JUST A THOUGHT -ON THE WEST IS 'GOOD' AND THE EAST IS 'BAD' STEREOTYPICAL MISINFORMATION. PART 1.

There is a view that people like things to be straightforward and uncomplicated.

To be in 'black and white', or either, as it were. Or to be consistent with the consumeristic and populist propaganda of the West's political elites, reducible to 'good and evil.'

However, life and living, reality, if you wish, is not that simple. Good is not mutually exclusive of 'bad' or 'evil', but will oftentimes be another expression or manifestation of an individual or nation, at a particular time in their history.

'Good' people will, from time to time, do 'evil' things, and 'evil' people, will, from time to time, perform good deeds.

A person, like a nation, can have their 'dark period/s.'

How long it lasts, can be influenced or determined by the person's or nation's translucence to and interaction with the more enlightened rays of others, who are in their 'light or enlightened period/s.'

It is really down to our interaction with and willingness to be influenced by others who have a different perspective from us.

Our willingness to reconsider what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what has been its effect on those on whom it impacts.

And so it is that good people can do bad and evil things, just as how they can do good and admirable things.

And the same applies to nations. Like a coin, nations and regions of the world have 'a head' and 'a tail.'

Coins do not normally have two heads or two tails, unless they are 'fake', or 'trick' coins.

Notwithstanding this fact, the common wisdom in the West, is that, contrary to the 'rising of the Sun, the West is the fountain of all that is good and desirable.  When it comes to 'human rights', 'systems of government', and 'human values.'

The West is, at least, in the West and in those people and countries which have bought into the 'the western dream', and aspire to be like what they have come to perceive it to be, is the standard by which life and success is to be measured.

Yes, the West, not the East. The British, the Americans, the Europeans, with their intellectual equivalent of the technological revolution.

With their relatively recent civilisations. Not the Chinese, which their thousands of years of civilisation and accumulation of knowledge.
