A CONVERSATION WITH GOD. PART 16.

For thousands of years, humans, first the priests, shaman, and the clergy, and then the ordinary people, have sought to speak with the gods, and then for the gods. 

Always being secure in the knowledge that the gods would not denounce what they have reported of these conversations. So, why have the gods remained silent? Why have the gods chosen not to speak for themselves?

T.: Well, yes, G. I can see that that is so, to a large degree. Especially when we consider the position of those on the extremes of both ends of the 'belief v prove it' spectrum. 

With the 'Believer' then being placed in a position where he/she must 'find and declare proof' of your, G's, existence. 

While the 'evolutionist' and/or 'non-believer' might appear to be coming at it from a mostly 'scientific and objective position. 

The position which says, now, let me look at what I can find that is currently definable, and study it to endeavour to ascertain its nature, purpose, and how it came into being. 

A position which does not begin by ascribing the objects of the enquiry to you, G. 

But has the purpose of ascertaining whether it is reasonable and logical to ascribe their origins to the work of a sentient deity. 

And, yes, G. I do acknowledge that some 'evolutionists' also subscribe to some aspects of 'creationism' in their complex theorising. 

Just as how some 'creationist' do not completely rule out aspects of 'evolutionism' in their attempts to reconcile what seems to be irreconcilable ideas and hypotheses.

G.: Yes, T. It really is the case that the 'Believer', the 'Theist', does not need proof of my existence or of my omnipotence. 

Because he/she has come to accept both as an obedient and largely dependent child would accept something which they are told, but of which they have no 'objective proof.' 

Only the 'proof' which they and their faith have formulated and interpreted as 'evidence' and 'proof' of my existence and omniscience. 

That could be said to be the way of the believer. You can see it for yourself, T. 

Look around you. Look at the hundreds of millions of humans who believe in me and my purported power.  

And who are doing so without a single one of them having heard a word from or seen me, except what they have contrived in their imagination.
