JUST A THOUGHT - SO, WHY IS THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT AND RT DEFENDING THE POTUS 'UNDER-DOG'? THE END.

But, some how, I do not think this is the case in respect of RT's and the Russian government's surprising appearance of  benevolence towards President Trump. 

Why would the Russian government want to behave towards the POTUS in such a benevolent manner?  When the previous POTUS was behaving in the exact opposite manner towards, say, President Putin and President Assad?

Also, why would RT be appearing to be so 'anti-Macron' in its reporting about the new President of France? Whereas it has a tendency to be rater 'pro-Marine Le Pen'? 

In fact, come to think of it, RT might even have a tendency to be 'anti-Merkel' and 'pro-AFD' stance in its reporting.

So, is it really about the Russian government only being partial towards and supporting governments and opposition parties which are actual or prospective allies? 

Is Russia's and RT's defence and support of Donald Trump, predicated on some pre-election understanding which Donald Trump had with the Russian government, before he became POTUS? 

With Donald Trump being a businessman, has there been some understanding between him and Russian oligarchs and elements within the Russian Government?

Now, I have no information to say prove that there was a secret pact between Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump, and/or members of his team, and people within and/or connected to the Russian government. 

However, it might well have been the case that Russians have been courting Candidate Trump and/or influential people close to him. 

On the understanding that, in the event of him becoming the President, he would implement policies more amicable toward Russia. 

To that extent, President Trump could be perceived as probably the nearest the Russians have gotten to 'getting their man into the White House.' 

Unfortunately, it has not quite worked the way the Russians had anticipated it might have. 

Neither could it have, considering the man Donald Trump really is.

But then, it could not have worked either, had the possible alliance or 'understanding' been made with a presidential candidate or people close to such a person, who is more intellectually gifted than Donald Trump.

The net result is that this has been a costly fiasco, not only for President Trump, but also for the Russians. 

Not that it will necessarily destroy what is left of American-Russian relationship, as pragmatism and expedience are the currencies of international affairs.

Because, international relations, like the history of a nation, are like the tides of the ocean; they ebb and flow, constantly.
