JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON THE LEECH FACTOR OF THE FAILING AND/OR CORRUPT POLITICAL LEADERS. THE END..!

Refusing to give up power to someone who is better able to contain the disaster which is taking over the country like a tsunami, and insisting on staying put and quickening the pace of the disaster.

How can this be? How can Maduro speak of fighting to maintain the country's Bolivarian Revolution? When his actions, his catastrophic governance is proving to be its biggest and most potent enemy?

What is it that is preventing him from appreciating that, if he is really the servant of Chavezism, which he is making himself out to be.

That, if he really wants to remain loyal to Huga Chavez and further the cause of Chavezism.

It is vital that relinquish power and allow a more competent leader to take the leadership of the country?

After all, no company would allow  a CEO like, for example, Nicholas Maduro to remain in charge, after such dismal  performance.

So, how much greater is the case for him to remove himself from running Venezuela?

Few things can be as costly to a nation, than having a failed or failing and selfish leader in charge of its government.

In this respect, probably the greatest weakness a leader can have, is that of being unaware of or refusing to acknowledge his/her weaknesses as a leader of the country, of the nation.

South Africa's President Jacob Zuma, has delayed acknowledging this fact, but it is to his credit, however reluctant he has been to leave, that he has now accepted that his time has come.

And that it is in the nation's best interest that he hands over the power of leadership to Cyril Ramaphosa.

Nicholas Maduro would do well to copy Zuma's example.  As 'sacrificing' his failed leadership, in the interest of Venezuelans, is clearly a lesser sacrifice than sacrificing the nation in order to preserve his failed leadership.

It is better and less destructive for those leaders who have become leeches feeding off the countries and people, who have had to become their reluctant hosts.

To simply step down, before they have caused too much damage.  And avoid the tragic situation where they have to be prised off their reluctant hosts, at the cost of great suffering of the people.

When President Jacob Zuma said he does not want to become the cause of continuing division and probably violent conflict between South Africans, even if these are not his words, this is one of the greatest service he has done for South Africans.

More leaders need to be guided by this sentiment, which sets the standard which is to be followed by both those who are for, and those who are against the leader in question.

The peaceful resolution of the conflict between them, in the collective interest of the nation. No leader should put him/herself above the collective interests of the nation.
