So, why do we humans place so much emphasis on ethnicity, on skin colour and on our physical characteristics.   When we try to describe, discuss, understand and resolve societal conflicts? Why the constant emphasis on 'I am black, and you are white', or 'I am white and you are black'?  On 'I am Chinese, Asian, Kurd, Catalan', et al, and your are different'? When it is more likely to be the cultural differences between people which are more powerful than their colour or non-cultural ethnic differences? In that they have set the time for the faithful to realise the promise, so far in the distant future that nobody can or will even know if their promise will be realised? It is not surprising that the hold of religion, or whatever theistic brand or variety, is losing its hold on an increasingly enlightened and sceptical world.  Neither is it surprising that some of the faithful, including those officiating in the BBC's Radio 4 Sunday Worship on 29th April 2018.   Should be tempting to think that what the world needs is more religion. Probably especially of the orthodox and traditional kind.  The kind which requires the faithful to just accept what they are told, by the gospels, is expected of them.  The kind of religious doctrine which does not require its followers, the faithful, to think for themselves, but just to do as they are told by their respective clergies. Just another short video of what the garden looks like at this stage of Spring.  Not a great deal to see, but already, the 'miracle' of the inner space or matter reaching out to grasp life sustaining compounds which it requires from out space, is already quite evident to see.  Even if many of us might be oblivious to the transformation, or take it for granted.
