MONACO GRAND PRIX 2019 - ANOTHER P.1 AND P.2 FOR TEAM MERCEDES, BUT...!

And then again, having to listen to Lewis' whinging, is probably not too high a price to pay.  

 For having him and Team Mercedes overcoming the challenges of an unyielding Verstappen and Team Red Bull, tyre degradation, and a Siren-like circuit, to extract a another Grand Prix win.  such a win

Monaco 2019 was not a brilliant or exciting Grand Prix, even if Hamilton and Team Mercedes did their best, in conjunction with how fate impacted on the race, to give it a helping hand. 

It was all about gruelling endurance. But its outcome has now enabled Hamilton to increase his Championship lead over his teammate, Bottas, to 17 points.  


As well as diminishing the potency of the challenge from Team Ferrari and Red Bull. 

The race has also seen the continuing frustration of Charles Leclerc's attempts to realise his potential as one of the new drivers on the Grid. 

Now, we must await the unfolding of the Canadian Grand Prix on the weekend of 7-9th June.  

 To see how the planetary forces will be aligned, and how they will impact the outcome of that race.

 In the meantime, like Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel, Bottas and the other, many of us will be only too contented not to have to contend with another gruelling and unrewarding Grand Prix like Monaco, for another year.
