BREXIT - THE BATTLE TO ACHIEVE IT!

Image
For the Remainers to passively accept and acquiesce to Brexitisation as 'the will of the British people' and follow it.   Would be somewhat similar to people accepting the purported virtue of ISIL wanting to establish an 'Islamic Caliphate.'   And submitting to its establishment on the presumption that there is a god and this, the establishment of an 'Islamic Caliphate', is the best way to observe 'his will.'  It is not the case that the current 'model of democracy' which is being cited in defence of Brexit and Brexitisation.   Is the best or even the most appropriate way of resolving the 'new Civil War' which is currently being fought in the United Kingdom. It requires more than that; more than Prime Minister Boris Johnson 'locking Parliamentarians out of Parliament' to buy time to railroad Britain out of Europe and the European Union.

BREXIT - THE BATTLE TO ACHIEVE IT! PART 2.

This we can see as a clear declaration of war between the country's Brexiteers and its Remainers.  With Prime Minister Boris Johnson not only assuming the role of the infamous Guy Fawkes, but also appearing to resonate some of the man's reputed erratic and under-handed characteristics.  Having had to contend with the explosive scheme of GF in 1605, the British Parliament, 415 years later, is having to contend with another which is no less outrageous and unprecedented in effrontery. The real dilemma confronting the British people over Brexit, is that the British people are at war.  The positions of Brexiteers and the Remainers are diametrically opposed and are not reconcilable by the often citing of the Brexiteers for all the people to 'accept Brexit as the 'democratic will of the British people' and go for it.  That argument is not sufficing and is not going to suffice; not when so much is at stake in terms of the anticipated massive damage w

Which later evolved into becoming, Jamaica, from Africa.  It is unlikely that Shaka's blood-line or lineage, were he to trace it, would take him back to the famous and indubitably courageous Maroons of Jamaica.   Who were the descendants of the first slaves brought to the Island, by its first European colonisers, the Spaniards.  Before they were freed and/or freed themselves, during the ensuing turmoil when the British attacked and drove the Spaniard from the island in, according to Wikipedia, around 1655. Thus bringing to a close their 160 or so year reign over Jamaica, which began in May 1494.   When Christopher Columbus landed his three ships at what later became known as Discovery Bay, of the cost of what would later be called ST Ann, of of the 14 parishes of Jamaica.  No, it is more likely that Shaka's family tree would take him back to the later arrival of slaves brought from West Africa.   And probably people coming from the Mediterranean and s

It is not everyday that we who opposes something, such as say, Brexit, will begin our argument against it by acknowledging perceived 'right' of those who support it, to do so.  And, where we might, however grudgingly, acknowledge the 'right' of Brexiteers to argue for and support Brexit.   We are, understandably, less inclined to accept that the Brexiteers should have their Brexit, at the cost of it being inflicted upon us as well.  That we should forego our interests, or what we believe to be our best interests.   To facilitate the current status quo being overthrown, destroyed, to make way for the unrealised and untested vision of the Brexiteers being built from scratch.  That the current system and state of our being, should be destroyed and cleared away to make room for the 'house', the Britain that the Brexiteers hope to be able to build. This, then, is a large part of the reason for the British Prime Minister and his cabinet's unp

A JAMAICAN CHILDHOOD - REFLECTIONS ON. PART 1.

The story of Shaka's memory of his childhood is not unique, except for how his it is filtered through his specific perceptual prism, and his telling of it.  The probability is that it is not markedly different the childhoods of thousands of other Jamaicans who grew up in the land of 'wood and water.'   Like that of Shaka, their childhoods will have been affected by all the emotions experienced by and known to all humans.  Pain, joy, excitement, sorrow, remorse, loss, happiness, plenty, want, light and dark periods will have visited all.  The difference might be in the amount of, the intensity and duration of the emotions they and Shaka will have experienced.   And probably what they have learnt from them and how they have benefited and diminished by each or all of these basic emotions and common experiences. Throughout the 186 year period since the 1833 Slavery Abolition Act, which set in motion the process of freeing his ancestors from slavery

RELIGIOUS DILEMMAS - THE PARADOX OF CHRIST's AS GOD'S ILLEGITIMATE SON AND FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY.. PART 22.

After all, there are, it might seem to you and others, so many intermediaries between the believers and me; God.  First it was the angels, whom the priests and prophets contrived to speak for me.  Then it was the prophets themselves who say they speak for me. Then they moved on to contriving the birth of Jesus Christ, and use him to purportedly speak for me.  And now, they have moved on to having a whole proliferation of charlatans, scoundrels and crooks  manipulating and exploiting the Bible and purporting to speak for me.  So, T, I ask, again, what am I to say of the matter of which you enquire? T.: Just for you to say it as you see it, G. G.: Well, T. What should any man, woman or child, be they believers or non-believers, to think of me, if it were to be true that I did seduced another persons betrothed or husband or wife?  To be continued!
