JUST A THOUGHT - IN CELEBRATION OF MOTHERS' AND FATHER'S' DAY. PART 1.
And so it is that on a specific date during each year, the people pay homage to the Father's of their nation, as they do to the Mothers of their nation, on another day. And do celebrate and give thanks to Mums and Dads, for having given birth to them and cared for them. For being good Mothers and Fathers to them. For having protected and nurturing them into becoming the Sons and Daughters whom they have become. Now, as with Christmas, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day might be no more than a pale reflection of what they once were or were intended be. Becoming, as the years and time go by and people and their perceptions and ideas changes. More commercial and more financially driven. Giving rise to the cynicism within us and provoking our irreverence. Bringing forth the cry, 'it is all about making money, now!' And not really about giving thanks and praises to Mum and Dad, to our Fathers and our Mothers. For having given birth to us.
