The View From Clift Top Mountain.

Image
This video was taken from positions on top of Clifftop Mountain, in Aberystwyth, Wales, United Kingdom, on a lovely day in September 2016. I have added some jolly music to it.  Please take a look and see if it brings you some fun; if so, do enjoy.

A THOUGHT FOR NOW - THE PRESIDENT OBAMA LEGACY: THE REBIRTH OF THE COLD WAR? PART.1

Image
Like probably millions of other people, I used to think of President Obama, before and during his presidency, as a beacon of hope for a better world, which he would help to realise. Yet, as time progresses and his presidency develops, becomes stronger and then wains in its final months, I have found that President Obama has failed to lead America into doing its bit to make the world a better, safer, and securer place for its citizens. Of course, it is the case that President Obama assumed the Presidency at a particularly difficult time, when the global economy was in a parlous state, with the elites and the swindlers on the world's stock markets and financial institutions recklessly brought the world's economy to near collapse. Unemployment was higher than it is today, the financial institutions were near to collapsing and bringing the world's economy down with it, and would have probably done so, had many governments not intervened massively to rescue capitalism. What I Saw When I Looked Out And Around From The Clif Top Retreat Above Aberystwyth.

Image
Here is another of my short videos, of the scenery from the Clift Top Railway retreat, above Aberystwyth, Wales, United Kingdom. This video still has the original recorded sounds. Do take a look and see what you make of it, and, if you are so moved, enjoy it.

SO, IS PARTY POLITICS FOR AND ABOUT THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS?

Image
Probably one of the most remarkable development in British politics over recent months, has been the resurgence of interest which the younger generations have been showing in party politics. This could probably be partly explained by the the utilisation of smart technology, which has enabled better and more efficient communication between source or organiser and their intended target.  We have seen hundreds of thousands of young and not so young people joining the British Labour Party, in there desire to support and maintain the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, a 67 year old political veteran. Probably somewhat unusually for a person of Jeremy's age, is that it has not weathered or soften his conviction to radical politics. Like the Labour Party's Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, John McDonnell, who is a younger 65 year old veteran, who has, at the recent Party's Annual Conference, made it know that he would not be afraid of declaring his socialist conviction,

Taking A Look At The Sea Front At Aberystwyth, Wales, United Kingdom.

Image
This is a short video of the Sea Front at Aberystwyth, Wales, as a given moment in time and space on a certain day in September 2016. The video is with the 'natural' recorded sound. I enjoyed the scenery and the walk, but not so the horrible fish and chips we bought at the Sea Front. Please take a look and enjoy anything you find enjoyable.

Colombia - La batalla por la paz y la seguridad continúa, y prevalecerá! (COLOMBIA - THE BATTLE FOR PEACE AND SECURITY CONTINUES...!

Image
The light of peace still beckons to the people of Colombia! With so much at stake, it is unlikely that we are now seeing, with the rejection of the Colombia/Farc Agreement, an end to that country's quest for peace. Yes, the fact that such an historic process should be stopped in its track, by no greater a margin than 61,000 of the electoral votes, is terribly disappointing, as is the fact that, the vetoing of the Agreement has been the result of a 'democratic' electoral process which saw a reportedly less than 40 per cent of the the eligible voters bothering to caste their vote. Apparently 13 million ballots were cast from a population of over 47 million. Rightly, might we pose the question; is this not a very poor exercise of 'democracy', where such a crucial decision have been, for now, determined by a minority of the eligible electorate? Yes, it does seem to be so, and indicates that more work needs to be done on improving this thing we call

POLISH WOMEN FIGHTING MALE DOMINATION TO TAKE AND RETAIN CONTROL OVER THEIR BODIES.

Image
The women of Poland, not all, but many, are fighting against a proposed law which, it is said, would have the impact of making abortions illegal. Another example of men continuing to use religion and 'morality' as tools to control women. I find it ironic that, after having rebelled against the former Soviet Union and achieving her independence, not only from the Soviet empire, but also from communism, the women of Poland should still be fighting for their independence  and freedom from male and religious oppression, so many decades later. Why is it that women, compared to men, should always be the last to have the yoke of oppression removed from them? Why is it that their oppression should always be more grievous than that of men? And so it is, that religious oppression and male domination continue to prove themselves more ineradicable than probably all other kinds of oppression. In this case, with the Polish state becoming inclined to deprive women of th
