The sudden recapture of Palmyra by Isis/Daesh and Syrian rebels provides a powerful shock to both the Syrian coalition fighting them, and the interested on-looker to the Syrian proxy war. Colloquially put, there is a lot of unseemly shit going on in the Middle East for a long time, with each succeeding government in the west simply tagging their own wagon onto the existing wagon train. This unseemly spectacle is not only affecting what is happening in Syria, but also in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, and one which Britain has been trying to subdue for many decades. First, by direct military intervention, and, presently, by way of proxy intervention, utilising the Saudi Arabians and their Gulf States allies. The British, American and Saudi alliance has been bombing Yemen back into the past, and has been killing and maiming its inhabitants on unprecedented scale. It has, to some extent, been able or sought to 'bury' its crime under or behind the massive propaganda campaign which the west is prosecuting against the Syrian, Russian, Iranian and Lebanese axis, which is trying to defend Syria from the attack by the West and ISIS/Daesh.
