And so it is, that the believer cannot and should not take comfort in only his/her redemption and salvation, but is having to think of that of his/her partner, family, friends and fellow believers. With no partner, no members or not all the members of his/her family to share it with? It seems to me to be a particularly ironic situation that Nato and the European Union should not be doing more to foster peaceful coexistence between the different nations, federations, etc, that inhabit the continent of the European mainland. And that they should, instead, be encouraging and ossifying divisions between their people, based on political ideology and economic interests. That they should be conspiring with the American government to exert the same kind of trade embargo and sanctions on the Russian Federation, as they and the Americans have done with regards to Cuba for 50 years.  What is going on? Has Europe no self-respect and pride? That European leaders, in the age of reason and rationality, should be happy in going so far as to co-opt the United States of America, to reinforce their animosity towards the Russian people, and to submit themselves to being used by the Americans, as a buffer against the Russians; thereby sacrificing some of the 'freedoms&#

This solid building which, externally, seemed not to betray the importance of its daily business, which is to help one set of unfortunately people to keep in touch with with another set of probably even more unfortunate humans. This building, which, like the main one in which the visit would be taking place, did not really stand out, from the outside.  It did not loudly speaks of any foreboding, of the misery which ordinary humans, at some time in their living, might be fated to experience. There was nothing to suggest its existence could give rise to despair and unhappiness. Inside it was decked with spacious armchairs and settees which have been well maintained, and its walls, decorated with children-friendly pictures, as well as posters and notices explaining the importance of the building and the work it and its functionaries or workers are engaged in.  All three of them sat and mad themselves comfortable, observing the decor and the few other waiting visitors,

Russia is perceived by the United States of America and by the western European countries as the primary enemy of the now proverbial, but probably fast becoming fictitious 'Free world', within which notions of 'democracy' and 'freedom' are constant refrain. There are those ideologues who would even consider Western Europe and the USA to be 'heaven on earth', and Russian Federation as 'hell on earth.'  Now, of course the realities of both perceptions are not as 'black and white' as that. And I use the term realities deliberately, because, in all three points of this geo-political triange, there are different and contrasting realities. We can, if we are willing to look, find examples of both admirable and deplorable aspects of the human condition. Not all Americans are living the 'AD', the American Dream. For millions, their daily existence is taken up with surviving the 'AN', the American nightmare. And so is it

And so it is, that the visionary amongst us humans might have a tendency to be attracted by and focus on the 'bigger picture', running the risk of overlooking or marginalising the significance of the smaller picture. The ones which are sometimes at our side, even within us, which we sacrifice or neglect, as we focus on the 'bigger picture', that which is some way away. Not as near and attainable as our inverted telescopic vision might be suggesting. Yes, we are inclined to understate and overlook the local peace which we are now experiencing, but which needs to continue to be nurtured and reinforced, while we focus on the conflict over there, but which we have so little control over.  We focus on the grand plans and ambitions we could achieve or have yet to achieve, or might never achieve, while we understate what we have already achieved and need to reinforced.  We have an unhealthy tendency, habit, if you will, of continuing to 'problemise'
