IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS. PART 6.

It probably really began with the traumatic birth of the young man, back in an early morning in November 1989, in Newham General Hospital.  When his mother, being confronted with the arrogant negligence of the African Midwife. Who steadfastly refused to seek the advice of the Hospital’s Doctor about responding to what was becoming a more than usually excruciating birth.  Giving rise to further complications, including the umbilical cord being wrapped around the baby’s neck. Although Nzuri and Mfanyazaki would not have known it at the time, they would, in years to come, when their son, Kazaliwa, began acting out big time.  Frequently questioned whether the traumatic birth to which this incompetent Midwife condemned him, might have contributed towards the behavioural problems the young child would developed After the young man’s birth predicament, the next warning sign which might have suggested that his life would become more challenging than that of

AN IMAGINARY CONVERSATION WITH AN IMAGINARY GOD! PART 2.

It does not need a sage to conclude that, if that was how humans - and other living creatures - came about, and on which the basis of the relationship between humans and god was forged.  Then, such a relationship would not be much different from that between, say, a man who buys an heifer and a bull and set about starting a herd.  It would be the relationship between an owner and the chattel he owns.  And therein we would have the beginning of what us humans have come to know as slavery.  With god owning humans, which, fortunately, is not a concept which the more independent minded and discerning among us are willing to give any credibility to. However, there is really no denying the 'need' which humans have created and institutionalised, for having a 'sentient god or deity in our lives.'  This 'need' has now gone beyond all reason. It does not 'need' to be linked to concept or principles of 'truth' 'morality', or

JUST A MUSICAL THOUGHT - PLAY, LISTEN TO AND ENJOY THE MUSIC

Now playing B B King's The Definitive Greatest Hits, which is just beautiful.  A great pleasure to ears, intellect and soul. What can I say, but, let the music play and keep on playing.  The great man has physically left us, the living, but we are compensated by his great music, which is ours to share and enjoy, until we also pass on. And, as if that is not enough, as I play 'I am going to wait until the midnight hour', I am still contemplating on the beautiful compilation in Miles Davies' Blue, which I have played before. Like BBK, MD is no longer physically with us, but he, also, is immortalised by his inimitable music. Both different genre but all beautiful music; soul, jazz, classical, reggae, et al, let us mix them them up and enjoy them them all. Each according to the mood we are in or we aspire to be in. I am an advocate of freedom of music.  Be eclectic and not limit yourself to only one kind of music and thereby become musically impoverishe

And as Spring approaches and its verdant grip on fauna and flora is anticipated, it is worth recording its transformational magic at different moments in time and space. Please take a look, and, if you are inclined to do so, follow and enjoy its magic-like therapeutic impact, aided by the intervention of humans.

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - THE SEARCH FOR SIGNIFICANCE THE END!

And it is that child who has good experience of being played with in his/her home by family members, who is better able to apply and build on what he/she has learnt.  When they go to the playgroup, and then nursery, infant and primary school, secondary school, college, university.  And then into the arena of preparing for and entering the job market. Of them establishing and maintaining intimate relationships and social relationships.  With each stage of this process of socialisation presenting the child with new challenges and opportunities to acquire  significance.  To equip them with that sense of 'being important', of positively 'mattering' in the eyes and thoughts of those with whom they interact.  Of giving them that feeling of feeling secure in their own bodies and self-image; of feeling confident about themselves, and not feeling that they are insignificant and lost. Acquiring a sense of  significance  in relation to our physical enviro

SO, WHAT DOES KIM, ERDOGAN AND TRUMP HAVE IN COMMON? PART 3.

And, as if that, along with Turkey's meddling in the Syrian proxy war is not bad enough. Erdogan and his ministers have now taken to labelling Germany and the Netherlands - doubtlessly more to follow - as "nazi remnants" and "fascists."   It seems that it does not matter to the government of Turkey that its actions towards the legitimate opposition of Turks, to what is taking place in their country, could readily and justifiably be characterised as fascism.  There is something very wrong and extremely worrying when the leader of a country with a history such as Turkey's, should be labelling present day Germany and Netherlands as "Nazis" and "Fascists."  It suggest a great anger and frustration on the part of the government of Turkey. It suggests an absence, whether permanently or temporarily, of the ability to reason and negotiate with ones protagonists.  It alludes to President Erdogan and some of his ministers feeling a se

AN IMAGINARY CONVERSATION WITH AN IMAGINARY GOD! PART 1.

A significant proportion of us humans have come to believe in, or accept the existence of a sentient god.  All all powerful deity who, we hope and even pray, is in control of the world, and, even more so, the way how we live our lives.  Like an insecure child or young adult, we want to know that somebody or something is 'in control.'  That our existence and the existence of what we can see, hear and feel, has some greater meaning than that of being 'here today, gone tomorrow', as it were. We think of ourselves and believe ourselves to be 'rational beings.'  Sentient creatures or primates who do not accept that an idea, or a concept, can spontaneously generates itself, without there being some intelligent force being behind it.  Conceiving it and, given time, realising it. Indeed, the more intricate and complex is the evolution of the subject of our enquiry or investigation.  The more likely it is that some of us will draw the conclusion tha
