SYRIA'S PROXY WAR - REBEL'S ATTACK ON DAMASCUS; LAST DESPERATE ACT? PART 2

Image
It seems that nothing changes for the so-called "Friends of Syria foreign governments', who are manifestly foes of Syria insurgent supporters.  It is not above or below them to incite the destruction of the whole country, in order to achieve their objective to get rid of the country's present government.   Or to keep the country in a constant state of turmoil. This is why we are now seeing the attacks on Damascus, and why we are likely to see more of these attacks.   Until the Syrian government is able to destroy or render the opposition forces incapable of making such attacks. You would have thought that the effect of the Syria proxy war, in displacing hundreds of thousands of Syrians and making the 'the burden of European countries and America.'  Would have forced the Europeans and Americans to stop supporting the insurgents.  There is also the terrorists attacks in Europe, most recently the apparently brutal 'lone wolf' attack by

SYRIA'S PROXY WAR - REBEL'S ATTACK ON DAMASCUS; LAST DESPERATE ACT? PART 1.

So, no sooner has the Syrian Government and its Russian, Iranian and Lebanese allies had driven the rebels out of Aleppo, than the opposition forces attack Damascus.  Hitting the capital to show that, like rats and snakes, they can emerge out of their tunnels and kill at will. Until they are themselves, killed. It is of course very sad and tragic that the rebels should be committing themselves to fight until the last man or woman among them.  Or at least, this seems to be the position of some of the rebel groups. But, being pragmatic, it is probably not at all surprising.  It was always the case that some, but definitely not all, of the Syrian and foreign rebels who were, along with their families, allowed to leave one area of combat and move to join their colleagues in another.  Would end up fighting the Syrian government in other areas of combat, or new ones.  This is a problem which the Syrian Government would have been expected to make plans to lessen the

JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON STATES OF BEING - BEING UNEMPLOYED IN A MARKET ECONOMY. THE END!

Image
Being jobless in a consumerist society carries with it some significant risks.  It is a status which is fraught with vulnerabilities. It can deprive you of or lessen your significance as a human.  Not only does it places you at the disadvantage of not being able to pay for your food, accommodation, and other necessities such as clothes and warmth, if you live in the northern hemisphere.  But it also places you in a stigmatised category of 'the unemployed', 'those who are not contributing towards the social well-being of society.'  You fall among the 'non-tax-paying' element of society, and achieve the status of becoming 'them', and at least potential victims of the negative assumptions associated with 'themness.'  The unemployed 'who does not want to find a job and work'; 'the scroungers', et al.  And with that loss of social status, comes personal losses as well.  The loss of your self-esteem and your self

JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON STATES OF BEING - BEING UNEMPLOYED IN A MARKET ECONOMY. PART 2.

And, yes, as I have indicated previously, with each of these commitments, be it that of buying a house and having a mortgage to pay monthly.   Or buying a nice car and committing to the monthly instalments, or booking the next holiday as soon as we have this one, we become slaves to consumerism.  We become the equivalent of indentured labourers.  Because we have to set so many months or years of our 'labour' aside, to ensure that we do not default on paying that damn mortgage or that monthly payment on the 'car of convenience.' Yes, not only do we have to keep working to pay 'the man'; the 'system', if you like, but we oftentimes cannot help worrying about the 'what if' scenario.  What if I lose our job? What if I fall seriously ill?  Of course, the consumerist society has also thought of those 'what ifs', and use them to market health and unemployment insurances. Insuring against nearly every conceivable risks, as

Spring Is Coming - Let All Things Declare Its Beauty!

Image
And so it is, that as Spring approaches both fauna and flora, from the depth of the Earth and, if they do possess it, their souls, do look upwards ready to embrace the warmth and life-giving energy of the Sun.  So that they can assertively bloom with their grown of foliage and bloom, than humans might indeed feel a sense of renewal and declare their gratitude to be alive to see and enjoy another verdant Spring to come. Please take a look at this video and, if you so wish, enjoy what it has to offer, flavoured with your particularistic interpretation of it.

FAMINE AND POVERTY IS THE RESULT OF A CONSPIRACY BETWEEN ELITES OF RICH AND POOR COUNTRIES.! THE END!

Image
It is about the rule of 'warlordism', with the rule of the gun and violence becoming the most potent means of dividing and ruling people.  Whether that rule of violence is predicated on tribal or religious affiliations seems not to be the most significant factor.  Secular civil society has not sufficiently and, it would seem, cannot sufficiently take hold in the more affected of these countries. Charity will never be enough, because the demands on the people who are providing it does not appear to be decreasing.  In fact, it is increasing, and more people are, understandably, however justifiable some of the charitable causes might be, becoming cynical.  They are not seeing any end to the demands and they are getting fed up. They are thinking, 'why don't these people for whom charity is being demanded, get themselves sorted'?  'Why don't they bloody well stop fighting among themselves and destroying much of the little they already ha
