Conversely, there are, or should be sufficient liberal democrats and compassionate politicians in the Bundestag to use their collective debating skills and exercise of power to erode the appeal of the AfD. The challenge for her and her yet to be formed coalition, is that of whether she will be able to make them a sufficiently attractive offer.   Without having to make compromises which, not only her coalition partners will find unacceptable.
