Well, the reality is that it has gone ahead, and, although President Uhuru Kenyatta has has won it, with less than 40 per cent of the electorate bothering to vote. A phenomenon which is the increasing reality of probably most 'democracies', that the electorate has become alienated from the same old same old ritual. Something which, rightly has to be a matter of serious concern, and requires President Kenyatta to take notice of. And ensure that he demonstrably ensures that he 'rules' the country for all the people and not only or mostly those who support him. Even though it might well be the case that he and his ruling coalition have the support of most of the Kenyan people. The result of this demonstration of poor judgement and machiavellianism, has been that Raila Odinga might not only have needlessly taken his political party or movement into the political wilderness.
