BAKU GRAND PRIX - A SMASHING RACE BUT STILL A WIN FOR HAMILTON, AS VETTEL AND BOTTAS FADES.

Image
It was clearly too much to expect that the gods would have been able to help themselves in their desire to intervene in the 4th Grand Prix race, which took place at the Baku circuit.  Indeed, if  this Azerbaijan, Grand Prix is not the most fearful of all the grand prix circuits, then, it is undoubtedly one of the most fearful ones.  Even before the first lap was completed, there was a violent coming together between two of the racers, resulting in the Safety Car making its debut and leading the pack for several laps, as the race stewards cleaned up the debris on the track. Who would have thought that by the end of the race, the Red Bulls duo, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, having duelled for most of the race.   Would have forfeited the points which were theirs for the taking, by wiping out their cars in a fatal embrace of their cars.  In Max's too eager and foolhardy attempt to overtake his team mate, and Ricciardo's attempt to keep him behind h

Mfanyazaki would sometimes recalled how his wife’s cousin had told them of the great and distressing problem his family had endured.  When one of his son’s became enmeshed in drug addiction and the sub-culture within which it thrived.  At the time of the telling, Mfanyazaki could not recall having thought seriously about his own son and his family having to experience such trauma.  But here he, Mfanyazaki, was now, caught up in the vortex of having his own son, his youngest son, Kazaliwa.   Living the vivid, florid and violent life of a teenage drug addict, who was also believed to be a pusher as well.  Indeed, Kazaliwa would, himself, years later, give some indication that he had in fact not only been using, but also selling the corrosive substance.  An indication which, for Mfanyazaki, would go some way towards explaining the numerous little plastic pouches and the litte digital scale which he had found in his son’s bedroom.   S ome years before he was finally sen

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON MATTERS OF GOD AND HUMANS AND THE NEED FOR MORE OR LESS RELIGION. PART 1.

Image
Politics has become largely discredited, largely because politicians have a penchant for making promising utopia, knowing full well that they do not have the power to deliver it.  At least, the utopia which would be worthy of being called such. Why is it, you might ask, do politicians continue to make promised which they cannot keep?  And even more, why do people, including the same people, continue to believe and vote for them.  Having been themselves let down by the same and other politicians, as well as seeing or having knowledge of other people having been betrayed by politicians? Think on it. So, with politicians disappointing and betraying the people to whom they make promises, at times, repeated promises.  Because they do not have the power and/or the time or inclination to make good their promises.  Because they are not the all powerful people they imagine or try to make themselves out to be. And, probably even more importantly, they do not or have lost the '

BAKU GRAND PRIX QUALIFYING - SEBASTIAN 'VETTELLISES POLE, WHILE HAMILTON IS LESS BUT STILL DELAYED AT P.2

Probably even more than Monaco's, the Baku Grand Prix has near zero tolerance for racers who lose their concentration, nerve of steel, or make the proverbial silly mistakes.  Those who fall foul of the rigid disciplined and expert driving which the torrid gauntlet which is the Baku Grand Prix circuit.  Are more often than not doomed to feel the full force of the barriers around the track.  Which are intended to protect them and their cars from being smashed against the unyielding and sometimes towering buildings surrounding the circuit. And so it might seem, that the drivers who are likely to succeed, to safely ride and overcome the challenges which are integral to BGP circuit, then he - at present their is no she - must drive fearlessly, but not recklessly. Which is what  both Ferrari's drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, amongst others, have done during Saturday's Qualifying session.  It was Sebastian Vettel who drove the fastest lap

JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE FASCISTIC NATURE OF ISRAEL'S OPPRESSION OF THE PALESTINIANS. THE END

Image
They might have 'free' and 'unfree' people. In this case, Jews and Palestinians. But countries like Israel cannot be logically called a 'democracies.'  At least, not an enlightened 'democracy', of which its followers should or can be proud of. And yet, the State of Israel is being made the exception, by its Western apologists.  And is being shown the 'understanding' and 'tolerance' it needs to perpetrate inhumane and brutal acts.  For which other 'civilised' countries would have been roundly and deservedly condemned.  Especially if they happen to be Arabic or Palestinians. When Israel's treatment of the Palestinians is objectively analysed; are there not parallels between how the Nazis treated the Jews and how the State of Israel persecute and oppresses the Palestinians?  Is Israel not the modern day 'Ancient Egyptians' to the Palestinians, who have been placed in the role of the Ancien

JUST A THOUGHT - ON EMMANUEL MACRON'S 'DAVID' VERSUS DONALD TRUMP'S 'GOLIATH', AND APPEASING THE BULLY. THE END!

Image
Or is it the case that Emmanuel Macron finds much or most of 'Trumpism' repugnant, and is only getting close to Donald Trump to try to 'reason with him.'   To plead and appeal to the vestige of 'good nature' which he, Macron, might be hoping that Trump still has?  If you cannot trust Donald Trump's vision of the United States and of the rest of the world, then, why would you want to risk trusting or appearing to trust, to be a friend of Donald Trump? Or is it that Macron is being a traitor to the rest of Europe, to the European Union.  And is endeavouring to secure 'special favours from the Trump Administration, for France, and at the expense of the rest of Europe and other countries around the world?  A kind of  'La doctrine de chaque nation pour elle-même', doctrine of every nation for itself.' Is this really the vision motivating President Macron?  Or is it about him trying to 'appease' a President who has
