Can or will achieve their aspiration or dream. It is not going to happen. It cannot be so, because only  Lewis Hamilton , with the specific conditions which have moulded him, can be  Lewis Hamilton. Which takes me on to giving some consideration to the issue of how the fans, the general public and the media, perceive of and value Formula 1 teams and their drivers.  Whether there is sufficient balance in the accolade we dispense to the drivers and the teams. Take Lewis Hamilton, for example. There is nothing wrong with a person giving thanks to his religion and god, even though many of us find such a thing to be problematic.  Hamilton always acknowledges the importance of Team Mercedes in accounting for his wins and achievement in races.  Wins and achievements which are only achievable because of the powerful chemistry of his driving skills and knowledge. And the technical, mechanical, strategic and coordinative skills of Team Mercedes.  None of these quintessential

China has, for reasons of pragmatism and necessity, taken the risk of massively investing in African countries.   As, indeed, it is doing in other parts of the world, such as the Americas and the West Indies. At times under its 'Belt and Road international plan, and its BRICS partnership. Whereas European and United States governments have mostly left it to the private and voluntary sectors to invest infra-structural deveopment in African countries.  The Chinese government has, it seems, been either the main investor in Africa's economy, and/or has underwritten some of the large-scale projects which are taking place.  With the political and social fragility which is part of the fabric of many African countries, China is clearly taking a large risk.  A risk of losing its investment, should the countries in which it is investing, become volatile or more volatile and unstable.  It is also running a risk of volatile leaders of some of these countrie

And, on this occasion, they were being motivated wrongly, by blind passion, devoid of any objectivity.  We can see further evidence of Hamilton's determination, but careful driving from his battle with Kemi.  In how, after he had aggressively overtaken Kimi the first time, before quickly being overtaken again by Kimi.  His last overtake of Kim was more measured and exquisitely executed, with both him and Kimi conducting themselves with supreme skill and respect during the manoeuvre. Monza 2018, has done the unexpected, in how the cards have been played out from the beginning to the end of the race.  It was always possible that outcomes could have been other than the evidence and outcome of Qualifying on Saturday were indicating.  That Ferrari had the blistering pace and that, with them having a P.1 and P.2 podium positions, the cards were stacked against Team Mercedes. 'Possibility', however, is not the same as 'probability.'  All things

The argument that the past decision of the majority of voters who voted for Britain to leave the European Union.   Would have been made on the basis of them wanting Britain to leave the E.U at any cost, both to the British people and the rest of the European Union.   Is one which is not self-evident, and it should be tested out and taken for granted. Neither should this 'Brexit or Bust' argument continue to marginalise of contemptuously ignore the probability that.   Now knowing what they know about the actual implications of Britain leaving the EU, it is not improbable that a majority of the British electorate would now vote to remain in the Union.  The British electorate has a 'democratic right' to be able to exercise the right to change their minds, just as how they are allowed to do in general elections.  By having another referendum on whether or not to continue with the Brexification process, or with the eventual 'settlement or lack of

A Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, for making it to P.1 and P.3, at Sunday's 2018 Italian Grand Prix. A Very Big Congratulation to Team Ferrari and Kimi Raikkonen, for making it to P.2. Commiserations to Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Brendon Hartley, Fernando Alonso, and all the other teams and racers who had had the misfortune of having a race and result which they want to forget as quickly as they are able to do. For Lewis Hamilton, who has had a magnificent race, notwithstanding his contact with his closest rival, Sebastian Vettel, and which led to Vettel having to make a commendable recovery from 18th place to P.4 at the end of the race.  There was the added accolade of him, Hamilton, having achieved his Fifth win at Monza. All the drivers, it has to be said, made the Monza race a very punchy one, but without the chaos which we had seen at Spar last week.  Some of the Ferrari fans found it impossible to ve

More recently, the Americans have also began to make renewed forays into Africa.  Even after the American President, Donald Trump, has made disparaging comments or tweets about Africa.  And now, we are seeing the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, in her attempt to chart new paths of gold, towards what she hopes will be lucrative trading partners in Africa.  For a Brexited United Kingdom, also making her own forays into Africa.  Beginning with her current visit to Nigeria, Africa's most populous, and probably most corrupt and politically fragile democratic country. Following on with her visit to Kenya.  Not to be outdone, Germany's Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has also been making her own visits to Africa.  All of this courting of African countries is being made in order to meet the new exegencies of a post-Brexited Britain and Europe.  As well as of a Europe and global world both negatively and positively impacted by the realities of 'Trumpiani

The argument that having another referendum on Brexit would be a betrayal of the 'the will' of the millions of British people who voted in 2016 to leave the European Union.   Is spectacular and visionary in its illogicality.  Instead of protecting the reputed 'democratic principle', even the practice thereof, it is nothing short of a wanton denial of both of them.  It is an argument which seeks to protect a defined moment in the past.  Against employing the necessary action which is required to appropriately deal with the predicament of the present and the future.  Against a present and future which, as it happens, has been compromised by the event of the very defined moment in the past, which Mrs Theresa May has decided to prioritise.  Any political leader, in fact, any competent leader ought to know that.   If events subsequent to a major decision have substantially and materially changed, since the past decision was made, that have likely or goi
