JUST A THOUGHT - ON VENEZUELA, AND WHETHER PRESIDENT NICOLAS MADURO SHOULD BE SACRIFICED! PART 2.

Image
'A regime does not become stronger and more durable by constantly  preying on the citizens and destroying them. Because it will then have no prey to guarantee its survival. That is basic logic.' So, no, the thought of President Nicolas Maduro voluntarily releasing his deadly grip on the reigns of power in Venezuela.   And allowing the Venezuelans to 'breathe again and return to a state of consciousness, to live again, because God would redeem him.  Is definitely not going to happen. No, not in this life, or, I would surmise, the next, if there really is a next.  In fact, as far as Nicolas Maduro is concerned, if the people of Venezuela are ever going to be able to 'breathe' again.   To live and have a life worthwhile living again.  It is not going to be under  his watch. It is going to have to be in their next life. Unless, that is, if President Nicolas Maduro were to be  sacrificed.  Unless he were to sacrifice himself, his grab and hold ont

JAMAICA: A NATION WHICH CONTINUES TO GO BACKWARD INSTEAD OF FORWARD? PART 4.

Image
Aggressive, violent, antagonistic, brash, lacking in true self-confidence and self-respect, and rebellious. Added to this already rebellious spirit, Jamaican have also been brought up with the divisive virus of 'racial and intra-ethnic' classification.  What is more, there are other factors, such as political and economic corruption and crimes, drugs crimes and the increased prevalence of and access to guns.  Which have all helped Jamaica to become even more violent and amenable to increased criminality. Jamaicans are a proud people. Stereotypically, the average Jamaican probably sees him/herself as bigger than life.   Better than the people of the other West Indian or Caribbean Islands. 'Small Island people'. If we were to begin the process of analysing the stereotypical character of the average Jamaican, however.  It is far from clear that the 'idealised Jamaican' would be oftentimes found amongst the reality of what the real Jamaica

REFLECTIONS ON MAKING IT TO THE SMILING DENTIST.. THE END!

Image
Whereupon I got up and greeted and followed her into the treatment room.  By now I know the routine well. So I took off my coat, sat on the dental chair and reclined my body. Having already greeted her assistant, whom she would pass the relevant data to, about the state of my teeth.  The depth of the gum receding from each one. Whether any of them were 'mobile' and if so, how mobile. Whether there was any tarter or calcification, present, etc, etc. But for now, all that was required of me was to put on the dental goggles, and open my mouth for the Clinician to examine my teeth and prod between them and the gum to get them requisite measurements.  Having accomplished that task and made the relevant enquiries about my health and any medication I was on, it was now a simple matter of removing any calcification around my teeth and give them a nice polish.  As her assistant, colleague worked the extractor tube from the air pump which extract the excess saliva

JUST A THOUGHT - ON VENEZUELA, AND WHETHER PRESIDENT NICOLAS MADURO SHOULD BE SACRIFICED! PART 1.

Image
As Christmas, that 'Christian appropriated' 'Pagan holy day' approaches, it is an opportune time to remember the god forsaken people of Venezuela.  A people who desperate plight has been made more so their despotic President, Nicolas Maduo. El perro rabioso de venezuela. El carnicero de venezuela . The mad dog, the butcher of Venezuela. How truly desperate is the predicament of the Venezuelans, one only has to struggle to watch the recent report by France 24's 'The Reporters.' Now, I do not know if President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, is a religious man, some would say, demon.  If he is, and he is au fait with the Bible, he might therefore have heard of the biblical saying: 'What does it profit a man, if he were to gain the world and loss his soul? In the context of President Maduro's obsession with remaining in power in Venezuela, would could ask the question:  'What does it gain or profit him, if, by doing so, at any cost,

THE POIGNANT VISIT, DECREED BY FATE! PART 1.

Image
I am preoccupied with the pending visit, although I suspect that I am really not fully aware of how much I am.  As it would appear that I have, probably, subconsciously, consigned my preoccupation to the nether reaches, the interland of ergosumness.  Why, I ask myself, and you might be wondering, is this visit preoccupying me?  Is it because it is a deeply poignant visit? What is this visit about, that is should be proving so troubling?  That I should feel the need to be both consciously and subconsciously be thinking about it, rehearsing it, pre-living or experiencing it even before I make it?  That I should be going over roads, vividly visualising the scenery and the significant landmarks along the way.   As I drive and walk the poignant route which will take me there, on the appointed day, and at the appointed time?  That I should be visualising our meeting, because, yes, the visit is both to meet someone and to visit a particular place.  A place which I w

GOD'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HUMANS - A PROTECTIVE OR ABUSIVE ONE? PART 3.

Image
And then, there are also those of us who would argue that the relationship between us humans and God, or the gods, is one of us being subservient to the gods.  And, why not, some would ask, considering that the gods, God has made us and provided for us abundantly?  Are we not his, they might ask, to do with as he/they please? Like a master would to his servants? Or, others might wish to add, are we not the possession, the things, the slaves of the gods, of God who made us? Have they not moulded us from the clay they have made with their divine hands, and therefore have the 'right' to bend us this and that way? To remove the life which they have purported instilled into the bodies of our purported ancestors, Adam and Eve? Have they? Now, it really seems to be the case that the relationship which the gods, or God has with people.   Is largely predicated upon the traditions, the tribes, the religious rituals they have and the countries from whence they, the part

JUST A THOUGHT - ON THE UNREMARKABLE MARKLES, FAMILY OF THE DUCHESS OF SUSSEX. PART 1.

Image
As fairy stories go, many are the men who would aspire toward and feel great privilege in having the honour of being engaged to and marrying a Princess of the distinguished Royal Family of Britain.  As would many women feel it a great honour to be afforded the opportunity privilege of marrying a Prince of this Royal Family.   Now, of course marrying into the Royal, or a Royal Family, as well as being born into one, can also  be or become a curse.   As the many men, women and children of many monarchies, including the British Royal Family.   Who have been murdered to satisfy Royal, legal and/or ecumenical protocols and expediences, or machivellian intrigues, have shown. So, being born into and/or marrying into a Royal Family can be both a curse and a blessing.  Whether it is more the one or the other is likely to be determined or influenced by the period, the circumstances of the royal family, and the fate of the particular individual.  'Commoners
