JUST A THOUGHT - ON 'THE CONSCIENTIOUS BLACK MAN'S BURDEN'! PART 3.

Image
So, what is it that I speak of, when I refer to 'the conscientious Black Man's burden'?  If not the sense of collective guilt and responsibility black people feel, for  black people, leaders, and governments that are doing or have done pernicious things?  Committing acts of evil, of serious injustice, doing reprehensible things which can or is feared will stigmatise and dishonour the collective persona and 'spirit of black people. And probably nowhere more than in the 'multicultural societies of Europe and North America', is the 'burden of the black man' being displayed so intensely.  The populist media, politicians and conservative activists might well be playing a machiavellian role, in how they present the negative aspects of human societies.  But what happens when criminal activities are being reported and debated. Which sector of society seems to be playing more than its share of negative behaviours?  To be continued!

So, it is definitely not only 'the White Man' who has a burden to carry.   A burden of guilt, a burden of having to do penance, of having to atone for sins committed by their fathers, in the past and distant past.  The 'sins' of the 'black man' might, arguably, not be as enormous as those of 'the white man.'  Although I should not be surprised if some were to say, you know what, they are greater. The 'sins', the burden of the black man is greater than those of the white man.   Because, arguably, the 'burden of the black man' is mainly made up of inaction, in effective action, of omissions, of things which 'he' should have done, but has failed to do.  Progress 'he' should have made, but has not made. Of guilt 'he feels, or should be feeling' for his failure to improve his condition, but has not done so.  Whereas the 'burden of the white man', is a burden of guilt for things he

All as part of the deceptive 'crusade for 'freedom and democracy', western, and largely American defined 'freedom and democracy.'  'Democracy and freedom' as perceived by fascists such as John Bolton, budding fascists like Mike Pompeo and Donald Trump.  And nowhere, in none of these countries which have devastated by the Americans and their allies, do I see any evidence of the lives of their citizens having been made better.  For example, by them having been put to the sword by the 'freedom and democracy' alliance of countries.  Which is not surprising, since this crusade is being fought by deliberately destroying the targeted countries economies.  In the first 'imperialist war', the western countries gave the indigenous peoples Christianity in exchange for robbing them of their lands and resources.  And now, in the 21st Century, after a decades old abatement, the war of western imperialism, has been resumed

L.G.: Then, tell me this, T. apart from how you respond, how you are conditioned to react to the death of the 'non-human' animal, how is the death of the human really different from that of, say, the pig, or the lamb? T.: Well, L.G. I imagine that the family of the human would feel a great sense of loss, or grief.  I do not know that the offspring of the pig, its family would miss it in the same way.  After all, they are reared differently, especially is they are industrially farmed.  You could say they have different traditions, cultures and way of life. Different rituals for mourning or not mourning the death of their kind. L.G: Yes, T. Just as how different tribes within the human family have different customs, traditions and rituals to deal with the death of their members.  Just as how they might ascribe different significance to their death, but none of it should minimise the comparability, the fact that, in an absolute sense, all expiration o

I am not sure that, on the whole, things are not getting worse. That the perception of them getting better is not only that; a perception not supported by reality.  Or that the evidence of things getting better, is not being overridden by what must therefore be the deliberate or erroneous perception of that not being the case.   Some people might be of the view that more of the world's population is 'freer' today, than they have been in the past. And to some extent, they might be right.  Some people might be of the view that a greater proportion of the world's population is being fed better, probably quantitatively and/or qualitatively, than they had been in the past.  And, again they might be right. And what of the 'struggle for 'freedom and democracy'?  Is there more 'freedom and democracy' in the world today? Are more people living under the tutelage of 'democracy and democratic governments' today?  Is t

Some people are very secretive about how they select, prepare and cook the foods they eat.  Which is probably not surprising for the more entrepreneurially  oriented ones, but is not limited to them.  With so-called 'ethnic foods' being big business.  It is not only the business investors who are being secretive and wanting to 'trademark' and patent recipes which belongs to a whole group of people, and even nations.  Though much of the ingredients will or might be the same, those of us who want to 'personalise' the recipe will declare that, while that might be the case, we have added 'factor X, and/or Y' to it.  Which makes it uniquely 'ours.' And, yes, oftentimes that will be the case. As 'factor x and/or y', might not be the magic ingredient that we might be alluding to.  But simply or particularly the manner in which we combine the ingredients we use, stark or subtle changes in how we prepare, process and coo

T.: But does it have to be so, L.G? Do us humans really have to contend with continuous misery in our lives? Is that really what it is all about? L.G.: Well, yes, and no, T. It is certainly not all about enduring misery in your life-time.  At least, not for all humans. But the pain of misery is a substantial part of it. The amount of pain and pleasure humans experience in their lives, will also be a function of their perceptions.  Of what their expectations are, what they perceive as being desirable and undesirable.  What they train their minds and condition themselves into being of value and not having any or sufficient value. T.: Do you mean, L.G., that their is no intrinsic value to human lives; that there is no, no divine, no god-made purpose for human existence? L.G.: Yes, that is what I mean, T. None at all. I have no master plan or purpose for humans. I am not asking anything of them; of you, T.  Neither in this life, or in the next life of which th
