Or, for all I know, as I now try to recall the precise moment, my heart might have raced somewhat with feelings of having been offended by my dear mother.  Upon calmly enquiring of her as to what was the reason for her dissatisfaction, it appeared that it was because she had been expecting meat in her soup.  Yes, I felt a bit hurt, but I did not make a public show out of it. I calmly, if probably defensively cited the suspected health risk of eating too much red meat.  It was not the first and it was not to be the last time that my dear mother would, unnecessarily, I believe, cut me to the bone, colloquially speaking.  Not for her the more measured approach of resolving to taste her food with an open mind and then judging its quality and taste objectively.  No, if my dear mother sets her mind against a meal before she begins to consume it.  She tends to allow her preconceived mindset to contaminate the whole experience and rob her of the enjoyment she could

All nations of the world could use the unprecedented, the phenomenal situation which the response of the Coronavirus has provided us with, to examine the human condition.   The relationship which we have established with ourselves and with our world, our ecosystem.  And consider how we can make somewhat of a fresh start. How we can avoid rebuilding the rotten aspects of the relationship we have build with our environment.  How we can prevent ourselves from simply resuming 'business as usual', and return to abusing, criminally exploiting and raping our environment.  How we can make a fresh start by not returning to manufacturing and making products that we could do without.  Products which are causing more unnecessary and avoidable harm to our environment, to us, than they are benefiting us.  Products which has as their greatest appeal, the making of money for the people making them, and are about satisfying want rather than need. And so it is, that all or most of the media-orchestrated publicity about the COVID-19 virus is being placed on the deaths and acute illness it is causing.  Little, it seems to me, is being said about the fact that most of the people who contract it are recovering.  Nothing, or not enough, it seems to me, is being said or done to dispel the impression which is being disseminated, that the COVID-19 virus presents an existential threat to the survival of our human species.  Something which it most certainly does not represents. This, then, we can perceive as the 'curse of Clovid-19.' But there is also the possibility, if not the probability of the 'blessed opportunity' which the virus and our so-far response to it, provides us with.  That of using the situation and conditions which it has led to, as an opportunity to make an attempt to radically reform our current 'world order'.  Our way of doing things and the things we do. 'In the absence of a continuous dialogue - not monologue - with 'God', the inference has to be that he, 'God', has said all that there is and will ever need to be said about his relationship with us humans, over 2,000 years ago, and that there is nothing more to be said.  Which is something that speaks massively about the dysfunctional and one-sided relationship between the faithful, the believers and 'their God.' They/us, ordinary humans, are asked, if not forced, to live a life of servitude to a trinity of Abrahamic religions and an invisible and, according to all the established evidence, non-existent 'God.'  They are expected to place their hope of a better and 'next life' in their faith in something, a power, a 'God' they have only heard of, but has never seen, or, for all we know, ever seen by any humans. They, us humans, are expected to remain prisoners of this and that religion, of this and that 

In other words, our governments want their citizens, as much as possible, to become isolates, keep our physical and social distance from each other.  To avoid sneezing or coughing on other people, in case those of us who are unfortunate enough to have contracted this renegade virus, were to infect them with it.  Our communities are being locked down, sealed off, in much the same way as an army carrying out a military operation might seal off a village.  To find and destroy an enemy lurking inside of it, and prevent it from escaping and taking over other villages.  Or as a defence against it becoming infected by 'the enemy', in case it is not already infected. The difference between the military operation and the Coronavirus operation, I think.   Is that, at least in some countries, all that is being done is to seal of communities, with apparently no plans to then carry out a campaign of testing the residents and treating those who have been affected by

'Us humans do not refer to archaeology and anthropology, but to sociology and psychology, to understand contemporary human behaviour.  So why must humans rely on what was written in the past, with its unproven authenticity, as the primary source of 'God's' purported contact with humans?' Yes, notwithstanding the 'God' of the Jews, the Muslims, the Christians and all other religions that believe in a sentient 'God', to show or demonstrate his 'Godly' credentials and power.  In a most paradoxical manner, he is held high by all of them. He, 'God', is told by them given to understand by them, that he does not have to prove that he has the power which they ascribed to him.  The power which is most known because of it never having been demonstrated by he whom, it is argued by his followers and believers, to possess it.  And yet, while this 'God' is told that he does not have to prove himself and his power,

The Coronavirus is bringing fear and desolation to probably all the people in every part of Planet Earth.  With, in the worst cases, over 3,000 people dying in China and over 1,600 in just one region of Italy, Bergamo, as well as not to mention the thousands who have become ill with the virus.  Both the fear and the reality of it are washing over us as might the ocean.  It is flowing and there seems to be no sign of it ebbing anytime soon. Fear and trepidation have become our normal currencies, as have panic and, it seems to me, hysteria.  As I have said, people are dying, in their tens, hundreds, and, is a few extreme cases such as Italy, and, probably Iran, their thousands.
