A CONVERSATION WITH GOD. PART 15.
For thousands of years, humans, first the priests, shaman, and the clergy, and then the ordinary people, have sought to speak with the gods, and then for the gods.
Always being secure in the knowledge that the gods would not denounce what they have reported of these conversations. So, why have the gods remained silent? Why have the gods chosen not to speak for themselves?
To you they attribute what the see as the intricate and, at least previously, inimical designs and 'creations' of the human body, the earth, the universe, and all that there is within and outside of them.
To you, G. They attribute all that is beautiful and delightful.
G.: You mean, T. That they have put me on a pedestal; made me preeminent. Which is probably not surprising, as it is as would be expected of an entity who they have made their god.
T.: Exactly, G. Which is why, G. If we cannot conceive of you in this manner. The manner of you being an all powerful, with an intellect and creative ability immensely greater than that of us humans.
Then it becomes all irrational and illogical. You, who have been 'created' by the human architects of your creation, would not meet the criteria of the kind of god which the creationists need to support their argument.
Or the kind of 'god' which the 'evolutionist' and 'humanists' demand, before they would have have proof of your existence, and their disbelief can be overturned.
Because, a sentient deity, without omnipotent power, which that deity can and clearly does exercised, just would not do for thinking humans.
G.: As the saying goes, T. I see where you are coming from, with your rationality and logicality based argument.
However, T. Have you not considered that the Theists, the Believer, as it were, the 'creationist', might not be concerned about what is 'logical' and 'rational'?
Which are measures which the 'Evolutionist' and the 'Non-Believer' are using?
Do you not realise that both protagonists are enquiring into my existence or non-existence from opposite ends of the spectrum?
With the Theist and the 'Creationist' beginning with the 'belief' of my 'existence' as a given?
While the 'Evolutionist' and the 'Non-Believer' starts from the basis of looking for, as it were, evidence or proof of my existence?
To be continued.
