SUDAN'S FAILED COUP - THE HIGH RISK OF WANTING IT ALL, NOW!

No; none of them have become such models. Because it is easier and quicker to destroy than to build something better.  Which is why 'revolution and/or rebellion' is such a terrible method of trying to build a better country. Sudan needs a strong and prudent leader to pull it back from the brink, to reestablish security and stability over the country.  So begin to create and strengthen the necessary conditions for it to make progress towards better governance.  This cannot be achieved by the opposition forces holding 'a gun at the head of the nation, and giving the government an ultimatum.' It does not have the moral and/or legal and political legitimacy to do so.  The opposition should engage in a process, a gradual process of working with the existing structures to help to bring about the conditions for the gradual, but relentless improvement of Sudan and its people.  As the saying goes, 'Rome was not built in a day', in fact, neith

Those governments which the West has been arguing, are 'despotic', 'authoritarian', and 'undemocratic.'  It does not help that societies in the west has tended to argue that, them telling people to think, speak and act in a ' politically correct ' way, is for the good of society in general.  How can it; when those countries behaving as if they are or are perceived as being less 'democratic.'  Are also telling their people that the restrictions their ruling elites are placing on their thinking, speaking and behaviour , are also for the 'good of society?' I mean, imagine if the philosophers, the rulers, the 'great and enlightened - at least for their epochs.   Who have done so much to wrest the world of the Middle Ages out of the stagnant pool or pond of conformity, in which we have been embedded for centuries, if not thousands of years.  Had not dared to think and act different from the norm, what might have beco

CANADIAN GRAND PRIX - HAMILITON WON, AS VETTEL LOST IT......

It was a very memorable and charged event, and one which should not be reduced to being seen mostly or solely through the misfortune which has befallen Team Ferrari and Vettel, So, a Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Hamilton, for having, with a little help from the Gods, pulled off another seemingly unlikely Grand Prix win.   Also a Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Vettel and Charles Leclerc, for having made it to P.2 and 3.   Having, with obvious difficulties, contained their emotions and being able to keep it together after Vettel's unfortunate error. It is probably not helpful that the Canadian Grand Prix had became mostly about the battle or incident between Hamilton and Vettel, but that is how it has transpired.  Which was a shame, as, prior to the penalised incident, it had been, in my opinion, much more than that, and a very exciting race. But let me not give any more energy to the controversy. ~Let us learn to apprecia

Such as effectively regulating and preventing the ecologically, environmentally and hazardous activities of unscrupulous individuals, groups and companies.   Through dispossessing communities of their lands, their rights, and criminally exploiting and damaging the ecosystem and environment. Outside of this context, whether it is under the sphere of 'western 'democracy'', or Chinese , Russian and Cuban 'hybrid socio-capitalism', or any other forms of government.  People just want to be left to, as much as possible, do their own thing in getting on with their day-to-living. And to gradually improve their livelihoods. Of course, it is one thing when your government has taken it upon itself to tell you what to do and when and how to do it.  But it is quite another when that government has taken it even further, by telling you how and what to think, and severely curtail what you can and cannot say.  When it moves from trying to control you

I said  seemingly , because, had Vettel not, instinctively and understandably, as seems to be the consensus.  Attempted to reduced the personal cost of the error which Hamilton had pressured him into making.  By him, Vettel, intentionally or otherwise, obstructing Hamilton's attempt to overtake him.   As he cuts diagonally across the grass verge and back onto the circuit. A manoeuvre which was deemed an unsafe reentry, by the much maligned FIA.  Then Hamilton might have succeeded in overtaking Vettel. Whether he would have been able to retain the position would have been another matter.   Had that been the case, it would not have been seen as Vettel being 'unfairly' penalised by the FIA, but rather Vettel being forced into making a costly error and being overtaken by the pursuing Hamilton.  Which is how Hamilton and many, if not most racers and drivers would have preferred it to have been. That, unfortunately did not happen, and, however muc

'Revolutions' continue to be a means of destroying, both both positive and negative aspects of society, and is not the best way of bringing changes. The leaders of the opposition forces are adopting the strategy of holding the country and the future of the Sudanese hostage.  Something which will not contribute anything positive towards resolving the crisis.  It can only worsen the plight of the people and make the country more insecure and unstable.  It is likely to lead to more conflict, a problem which is already multiplying on the African continent.  We can understand why the fall of this or that regime will or might be met with euphoria.  A sense of, 'we have won, we did it, we have destroyed it.' Had we not seen that taking place in Iraq, after the fall of Saddam Hussein? Had we not seen it reoccurring in Egypt?  And had we not seen it reoccurring in Libya? Of course we have?  And what has become of that euphoria; has any of the
