JUST A THOUGHT, ON ALLOWING OUR COMPARATIVE DIFFERENCES TO 'VICTIMISE' US. PART 4.
Yes, it is the case that some countries, such as Japan, is experiencing a declining birth rate and fall in their population However, in our current state of affairs, declining population is not high on the world's agenda. No longer, if ever it did, is the survival of our species depends on the fertility of any one woman or man, or even on that of many men and many women? Evolution has already taken care of that threat, by ensuring that the different species of life tend to be rather profligate in their/our reproductivity, rather than being restrictive. Indeed, the restriction tends to be a mechanism which we have put into place, whether by means of perishing through wars, or artificial birth control, in the case of human species. And so it seems to me, that, the preoccupation of a given man or women with his/her infertility, is predicated upon the personal, the individual, rather than on the group or community prerogative.
