    Self-confidence in their ability to transform themselves and the world, are necessary qualities or attributes of young people.   Nearly in the same way as the certainty of their/our approaching demise is an inescapable awareness and even preoccupation of anyone of the age of, say 70 years old.   As a result of having to disbelieve what they had been taught by parents and family. Or continuing to believe it to be 'true', despite the, let us say, scientific or experiential evidence to the contrary.   The quintessential element or aspect of similarity of comparability, is in the fact that neither of their forces or community, will ever achieve their perceived 'end state.'
