JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD, WOULD IT BE SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER OR WORSE? FINISHED!

Similarly, it would not mean that, if or because 'the ruler' happens to be a woman, then, ipso facto, 'women would be ruling the world.' It is the case, I would contend, that 'men do rule the world, but this is because men holds the dominant power balance in probably all the key sectors of contemporary societies.  Whether it be in the more technologically and intellectually advanced Western or Northern hemispheres.  Or in the lesser culturally and socially advanced areas in other hemispheres of the globe. Men are still on top of the social, political and economic spectrums. Not so for women and females in general. They have been and continue to be 'the under-dogs.'  The human species who are more oppressed and restricted by men - both subtly and forcibly - and the system of social, cultural, religious and political traditions and conventions which 'legitimises' women's and female's inferior role. A vital aspect of the systematic oppression

Self-confidence in their ability to transform themselves and the world, are necessary qualities or attributes of young people.   Nearly in the same way as the certainty of their/our approaching demise is an inescapable awareness and even preoccupation of anyone of the age of, say 70 years old. Of course, people who have attained the age of 70 years old, will themselves have traversed all the prior milestone ages, including that of having once been an adolescent and a young person.  As such, with a bit or a lot of reflective consideration, those of us who are no longer defined as 'young people.'  Should be able to recall and even identify with the sense of hope and aspiration which young tend to have.  For wanting to transform the world into 'a better place for you and for me', as it were. Now, let us move onto the subject matter of this post, namely that of, 'If women ruled the world, would it be significantly better or worse'?  Would the world be a better p

As a result of having to disbelieve what they had been taught by parents and family. Or continuing to believe it to be 'true', despite the, let us say, scientific or experiential evidence to the contrary. This should or could lead us to believe that, a child's infant and junior education period, is a particularly stressful - as well as exciting - time for them.  Being one in which key players, parents, peers and teachers, present the child with opportunities and challenges in which they compete for the child's ears and loyalties.  It is a time when parents are probably most at risk of having their influence over their child diluted, if not lost.  That occasion when the child says, but 'Dad told me this..' or 'Mum told me that..', only to find that the objective evidence is not there to support what mummy or daddy told them. The challenges with which the child has to contend and negotiates, include that of being 'bullied' by other children.  Now

As for making the world a more peaceful one, well, the Obama Administrations could be credited with avoiding or delaying war between the United States and Iran.  But they made up for it by more than enough military campaigns in the Middle East, Africa and Afghanistan.  And they did much to build the foundation for the bloody war which is now being fought in the cities and countryside of Ukraine.  Between the latter and its Nato/EU allies, on the one hand, and the Russian Federation on the other. Most or all of which can be validly explained using the architecture of Capitalism and the anti-capitalist forces opposing it.  Bernie Sanders was not only a much admired champion during the heady and exciting 10-12 year period of 'Obamism.'  Sanders was the most radical and apparently 'progressive' 'mainstream' political figure during that period.  Of course, some might argue that BS, notwithstanding his apparent radicalism, is more of an 'establishment conservati

Yes, Bernie Sanders and the hundreds of thousands, probably millions of Americans of different ages.  Who had infused and resurrected the crumbling and decrepit corrupted American electoral system during the 2008 and 2012 Presidential  campaigns.  Their devoted and inspired hard work had let to Americans to regain their hope in the belief that their country could realise its promise of being 'the best country in the 'democratic world.'  They had done much to help the then Barak Obama's presidential campaign to realise its affirmation that, "Yes, We Can."  Probably both that they could succeed in getting the first black American to become the President of the United States of America, as well as making the nation a more progressive one.  One that shows more compassion towards its citizens by providing them with better health care systems and improving the standard of living of its 'working class citizens.'  As well as leading the world into a period o

The quintessential element or aspect of similarity of comparability, is in the fact that neither of their forces or community, will ever achieve their perceived 'end state.' Their nirvana or eurica state or moment. This is not a philosophical position I have come to suddenly or by way of any proverbial 'Saulist conversion.' It is, I believe, the result of time, events, study and analysis.  What has led me to put the proverbial 'pen to paper with this post, is hearing the veteran United States Senator, Bernie Sanders, extolling on his most recent 'anti-capitalist' project, in which he argues that "It's OK To Be Angry About Capitalism." Upon having heard that this is BS' most recent offering on what I know to have been a life long campaign of his, and the radical role he has performed in election campaigns in the United State in presidential elections since, say 2000.  I found myself asking me questions I do not have the opportunity to ask

So, is there any comparasion between the centuries old struggle of progressive people, especially those in their late teens and late 30s, to defeat 'Capitalism.'   And the more apparently conservative and traditionalists followers of, say the Abrahamic religions who are pursuing the promise of 'a heavenly paradise' after 'the world ends' or their 'Saviour Returns'? The initial, and most probably prejudicial conclusion, is likely to suggest that there is no essentially common ideological similarity or comparability between these apparently 'chalk and cheese' historical protagonists.  That religious people, committed as they are to obeying 'the will of their 'God'' who, according to Christians, are not of this terrestrial world or domain.  Are inherently different from the anti-Capitalist forces who have committed themselves to the probably insurmountable challenge or vocation of 'destroying Capitalism', are inherently dif
