ITALIAN GRAND PRIX - HAMILTON AND BOTTAS MADE IT A TEAM MERCEDES P.1 AND P.2

Having Hamilton and Bottas starting amongst the Polers in a race can be as source of high anxiety.  As we contemplate whether they will come into, but hope that they will not end up in a physical embrace. To be fair, this has not happened between these two team mates but that does not prevent us watchers from holding our breathe. Until they safely navigate the first turn or corner and zoom away into the distance. It is almost always expected that, even though Bottas starts on Pole, one way or another, Hamilton would snatch the lead away from him. The 2020 Italian Emelia Romagna Grand Prix was no different, as fate had Hamilton taking the lead. After Bottas made his first Pit stop, and holding onto it for the duration of the race. With Bottas' car experiencing some problems which reduced its performance. Hamilton only had to be wary of the threat posed by Max Verstappen. However, while Max is one of the most reliable and unyielding racers on the F.1 circuit, he needs his car to as

POLITICIANS ARE NOT GODS, SO DO WE NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH OF THEM? PART 1.

Such is the life of us humans that even the Gods, it seems, are not able to help us in time of our tragedies and our sorrows.  I mean, when was the last time you asked God to help you, and he came to you and provided you with the help you asked for?  So you cannot remember, probably for obvious reasons.  So let us move on. Can you remember when was the last time you hear of God coming to the assistance of a needy person.  That far back eh; you can only think of those instances recorded in the Bible? So, the only accounts we have of God helping people is in Biblical times; in far far far back history if you like.  That means that, if we are to believe the Biblical accounts, only dead people God has helped.  Or, more accurately put; ' the people that God has purported to have helped, such as getting the ancient Israelites across the Red or the Reed Sea.  Have now been long dead, with nobody left to give us any first hand account of what really occurred.   For these Muslims, it is seemingly incomprehensible that anybody in their right mind could even think it.   Never mind behave in such irreverent way as to poke fun and laugh at the prophets, especially Muhammad.   Whom they profess to love more than their parents and their families.  They see this as an attack on their  religion and their prophets.  These, not all Muslims cannot and/or do not want to exercise their intellect on the merits of  this right , which the Western secularists are exercising.  And how it is probably more sublime, more virtuous than any strictures Islam can have about offending, disrespecting or denying God and the prophets. After all, it is not a matter of Western secularists, in their defence of freedom of speech and human rights.  Cherishing, let us, Christianity and/or the Christian God, if he is, indeed, different from Allah, the Muslim God.  Or them honouring and respecting the Christian and Judean prophets and disciples more than the Muslim ones.  To be

PORTUGUESE GRAND PRIX - HAMILTON AND TEAM MERCEDES WORKED HARD TO MAKE ANOTHER WIN LOOK EASY!!! PART 2

The Grand Prix was very enjoyable, not least for the unexpected events.  Such as Bottas having overtaken his colleague, Hamilton, at the start of the race, and Carlos Sainz having overtaken both of them and Max Verstappen as well.  Even if, as was to be expected in this case, they would later put Sainz back into his place, as it were. But probably most enjoyable of the race, but that it provided the now legendary Lewis Hamilton with the format to become the most successful F.1 Grand Prix racer sofar.  The great racer was not to be denied the win which saw him exceeding the feat of the still legendary Michael Schumacher.  This is something he is fated to achieve, so fate was not going to deny him what the gods have decreed he should do in his life time. And so was hitory made, and we now look to the Italian Grand Prix this weekend. Respect to all the intrepid racers who participated in this challenge race.

A Very Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton on the latter setting a record breaking 92 Grand Prix wins, by winning the 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix.  A Very Big Congratulation also to Valtteri Bottas for making it to P.2, and to Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull for revving up another P.3. So masterful and sublime a racer has Hamilton The Consistent becomes now, that winning grand prix have become habitual.  And, although, as he has said during his media interview, he works hard and approach each grand prix as if it was his first.  Hamilton The Racer has now developed the appearance of making winning look easy and relatively assured.  The man has, it seems to me, taken on the appearance of having become or becoming a superb grand prix racer.  A racer par excellence. A Racing Demi-god, if not yet God. To be continued!

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHICH 'FREEDOMS' ARE OF GREATER IMPORTANCE. PART 4.

If it is the case that, a person is living in a largely practicing mono-religious society.  Then there is unlikely to be any issue about the majority of those citizens being able to exercise their right to practice their religion.  There might be, however, hindrance and obstacles in the way of those citizens belonging to 'minority religions' practising them.  But less so for the majority. We can see this playing out in a number of western countries at present.  With some Muslims perceiving the fact that Westerners can openly mock their prophets and Allah.   Without the state coming in to prevent them from doing so, as almost anathema. Some Muslims, individually and collectively, find this to be abhorrent. To be blasphemous and, they claim, a blatant expression of  Islamophobia . To be continued!

And so must a decision be made as to which merit and/or should be given priority, when those seeking them are in competition with one another? Now, of course many or most of us would like to be able to exercise as many of our 'rights' as possible. Having our cakes and being able to eat them, as it were.  And that should be understandable, as it is a human condition.  After all, why have a cake at all, if we are only able to look at it, analyse it and not be able to eat it? That, however, is not going to happen; we cannot have all our rights being satisfied at the same time.  Neither can we all exercise them at the same time, when they would conflict with other people's rights. This is why we must prioritise what is more or most important to us, and prioritise and compromise on them.  I do not think that any of our 'rights' are absolute or sacred. Let us, for example, take the 'right' of the individual or people to be able to exercise their rights to practi
