IS THE LABOUR PARTY BEING UNFAIRLY TARGETED FOR ANTISEMISM?

Are dark forces at work here?

The British Labour Party is currently being accused of antisemitism, with comments by two of the Party's supporters, MP Shah and Ken Livingstone, being used to highlight and fuelled the controversy.

It is not clear to me why the Labour Party, as opposed to, say the Conservative Party, which forms the current British Government, should be any more antisemitic and racist. Both parties are made up of  and are supported by ordinary British citizens of all ethnic groups and cultural and religious persuasion, and are likely to be representative of the general populace.

So, what is going on here? Is it really likely that there are, in the Labour Party, groups of antisemites whose aim it to be offensive to Jewish people in general, and to work for the destruction of the state of Israel, which embodies the core value of Zionists?

The Labour MP, Naz Shah, has, over a year ago, put forward a ridiculous suggestion that the nation of Israel should be transported to the United States, but why would anybody see that as a serious suggestion or have any fear of it occurring? Clearly, no sensible Jewish person  would work themselves into a frenzy and lose any sleep over such an idiotic suggestion, any more that black Britons would have done in the 1970s when Enoch Powell was advocating sending them back. After all, if it is one thing everybody, both Israelis and non-Israelis know only too well about the state of Israel, is that it is quite able to defend itself and will do so with terribly destructive might.

Similarly, Ken Livingstone's comments, which many consider to be offensive and repugnant to Jewish people, because of his citing of historical contacts between Hitler and his henchmen and some Zionists, are also not likely to do any material harm to Jewish people. But again, it is being used as further evidence of antisemism, instead of as a prompt for further academic and historical enquiry and exploration into the issue.

So, why this concerted clamour and witch hunt against the Labour Party? I suspect that it is being politically orchestrated, both from within and outside of Britain. It is not surprising that Mark Ragev, the Israeli Ambassador and former Spokesperson for the Netanyahu Government has now joined the fray, publicly. His request for the Labour Party to cut any ties with Hamas is very telling, in that it alludes to the real reason why the Labour Party is being targeted for antisemitism. It is really about the Party's progressive foreign policies and its support for the underdogs; such as the Palestinians.

The state of Israel has firmly establish its dominance in its part of the Middle East, and, with its unconditional support from the Americans and Europeans, will continue to do permanently, unless, for whatever internal contradictions, it implodes. However, how it has gone about achieving and maintaining its military and strategic dominance has seriously or mortally wounded it in its fight to win the moral war. It is this war which the State of ~Israel is now fighting across the globe, and, I fear, in doing so, it and some of its supporters are probably appropriating and manipulating the language of antisemitiology.

If people cannot openly and frankly speak about the injustices which the state of Israel is perpetrating on the Palestinian people, without the fear of being labelled antisemites, or accused of antisemitism, then they are likely to shut up, and the regime can then continue with the business of denying them their human rights and oppressing them with impunity.

It is ironic that such a situation - fear of speaking frankly and openly about Israel's injustices against the Palestinians - can prevail in Britain, which could have the effect of asking the British people to collude with Israel in its denial of the rights of the Palestinians.

The Labour Party needs to fight this allegation robustly, and not allow itself to be bullied into silence, or admission to unproven allegations.
