THE UNITED STATES PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIO - WHAT IF HILLARY CLINTON...

Yes, with all this on-going enquiry into Hillary Clinton's email, and the baying of the Republicons, what if she were to be prevented from continuing with her campaign to become the next POTUS?

An incredible amount of Fox News' resources is committed towards ensuring that Hillary Clinton is either prevented from completing her presidential campaign, or that she is unsuccessful in her bid. Normally it is the hounds that are after the Fox, but, in an ironic fashion, it is The Fox which is after Hillary Clinton, and there is absolutely no doubt that it, and its Republicon masters, are committed to ensuring that Hillary Clinton  is, at best, badly mangled, and at worse, is denied the prize of becoming President of the United States.

Yes, we are, it seems, in for a 'Dilma Rousseff Syndrome' situation, in which powerful political and business interests conspire to remove from the political landscape, an otherwise powerful female icon.

Now, do not imagine that I am or is likely to be a fan of Hillary Clinton, or that I hold her in the same esteem to which I hold Dilma Rousseff. I do not. How could I, when, had it been the case that Hillary Clinton was in power, the Brazilian Brutuses who are unseating Dilma, might have been supported by her, Hillary Clinton; just as how they are receiving passive support from the Obama Administration?

Yes, despite that, I am of the view that, supporting or, if you prefer, voting for Hillary Clinton to become POTUS, is the least detrimental option opened to the progressive American voters.  The objective of such voters has to be to prevent Donald Trump, at all cost - including stooping to vote for Hillary, or, if you prefer, the Democratic Party - from taking up residency in the White House.

Trump moving into the White House would lead to the the kind of USA which the progressives want to help to realise, receding into the more distant future. Unless you are of the view that a DTP - Donald Trump Presidency - would make the condition of the USA and its people so much more desperate, that it would be replaced by a Democratic Party Presidency after 4 years.

Now, it is true that 4 years in the life of a presidential administration can be either a very long time, or not enough time. All the same, it would be a rather reckless gambler who would gamble on such a scenario transpiring.

The more controlled and responsible option for the progressives and socialists, is that of tactically and strategically aligning themselves with Hillary Clinton/Democratic Party.  Not to do so would be extremely damaging to the chances of them achieving the Bernie Sanderite America they are aspiring towards.

But, of course, non of this will matter if, Hillary Clinton, because of the Republicons and Fox News Organisation's commitment to hunt her down and figuratively annihilate her, should, by some legal and/or administrative contrivance, become unable to complete her bid to become POTUS.

Yes, it is all a very messy business, and not something which is unprecedented in USA, what with the past controversies surrounding several of the Kennedys, Nixon, Bill Clinton, and, now, Hillary Clinton.

So, it might well be something which the Democratic Party can contain, by resorting to whatever 'legitimate means' they have to.

Still, just as how there had to be 'a contingency plan' for the Bernie Sanders movement, to put into place once it became clear that he was not going to win the presidential nomination campaign, so, I would expect, there has to be a contingency plan for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

So, what is 'the contingency plan'?

Could it be that we could, if the Republicons and Fox News are successful in their attempt to maul and remove Hillary Clinton from the fray, end up with a President Tim Kaine, in January 2017?  And, if that were to be  so, where would Bernie Sanders and his policy platform be; would they be part of the Democratic Party presidential administration?
