A THOUGHT FOR NOW - LIVING HEALTHILY IS MORE EASILY ACHIEVED WHEN IT BECOMES A FAMILY'S WAY OF LIFE! PART ONE.

So, here I am, still sweating after completing my morning's workout; nothing too strenuous, as I am not endeavouring to acquire 6-packs or anything like that. Just endeavouring to give critical organs such as my lungs, heart and brain some challenge, so that they are able to aspire to do their work in keeping me fit and health that much better.  We should know that feeding our bodies is not a matter of giving them nutrients from food and drinks, but also ensuring that they are put under a certain amount of strain, through physical and mental exercises.

The phrase, 'if you do not use it you lose it' - or its efficient and effective usage - comes to mind. In the case of our bodies and cognitive faculties, if we do not use them, they become rusty, malfunction, and leave us becoming ill and unable to function as well as we would have; had we been healthy and fit.

How long did I do my workout for? Well, in this case it was for no more that 16 minutes, to be precise, and I am feeling alert and wide awake at present, as if the 'temple of my body and mind' have been optimised.

The point is that we should not have to make living healthily a specially effort or regime, probably with us having to buy and cook very costly 'healthy or special foods for family member X or Y', because, the whole family are all eating reasonably healthily. I say this because some people might have a tendency to become 'food extremists', only wanting to consume probably the most obscure and costly of foods, Making it a rather expensive and time consuming chore for anybody who have to prepare their foods and drinks.

What is needed is a healthy eating and drinking regime and life-style which is not beyond the financial means of ordinary people, and one which comprises sufficient variety in taste, nutrition, presentation, and appeal. Achievability, if you like.

In my view, it would be better for the family to be able to arrive at a consensus, once their children are of a certain age where they will want to decide what they eat and drink. Of course, it will be their right to make such a decision, however, if, in their formative and early childhood years, they have been assimilated into a 'family culture of healthy eating and life-style', it is more than likely the the majority of them will remain reasonably faithful to that culture.

So, consider this, how much consideration and care do you give towards your garbage or rubbish bag, bin, bucket, or pits, depending on your arrangements for disposing of the rubbish you accumulate in your daily living?

Are you the kind of person who endeavour to keep, let us say, your rubbish or garbage container relatively or very clean, probably by tying up the loose and messy stuff you put in it, so that they do not leak out and messy up your reusable bin? Or are you the type of person who take the view that, well, it does not matter what you do, because it is going into the bin anyway, or that it is going into the disposable rubbish sack or bag? Of course, many or all of us will be aware of some of the hazards involved in our management of our rubbish. Such as the risk of animals destroying the sack to get food, if we leave it unprotected, or flies infesting it and laying eggs which result in maggot infestation.

All of which might influence those of us who have the responsibility for rubbish disposable, to apply varying degrees of care and consideration to the process of rubbish storage and disposal.

To be continued.
